Sweet Summer #4

This one is a little more tricky but some of you have probably made this style of card before. It is a stand-up card that also lies flat for mailing.

Sweet Summer #3

Another lovely card, easy to duplicate. If you don't have the same stamp set, just substitute your favorite!

CCMC 143 Challenge Card

It's Wednesday and you know what that means...Create with Connie and Mary challenge post (at least most of the time lately). So, I am again playing along with their sketch challenge and this is what I came up with for it this week. Enjoy!

Sweet Summer Card #2

How about this gate fold card? I love the soft colors of Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and So Saffron.

This card base is Basic Grey layered with Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. Ink is Always Artichoke. Check out the vintage flower button. You will find these in the latest mini on page 15. Graduation Card

In my most recent Stampin' Up! order I found this cute stamped image from Tom Ross. I decided to use it on a card and you can see it here. I do not have this stamp set so I did not want to waste it. Thanks Tom!

Sweet Summer SAB card

Although we are not making this particular card in class on Saturday, this is another great card that you could make if you get this Sale-a-Bration set FREE with a $50 order. Remember, this is the set that I am showcasing in a card class this Saturday at 10 at my home. See the whole blurb here. I hope you will RSVP so we can play together soon!  Inspiration for this card came from Fran Sanbad.

CCMC142 - Theme Challenge Create with Connie and Mary

I am again playing along with Connie and Mary. I love their challenges and you can win stuff too! Now you don't have to be a demonstrator to play and anyone can win so why not jump over to their challenge and bookmark their site to play! Today it is Go Green! I made a sweet Certainly Celery card for this week. I used the new set Easter Blossoms for this one.

Bliss SAB card

This card was inspired the great and talented...Connie Babbert. I made my card a bit different but the layout was hers. The card is Cherry Cobbler and the layers are Old Olive, Night of Navy, Jolly Holiday DSP, and Very Vanilla. Inks are Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy. The word Love is from the Occasional Quotes stamp set.

Punch Bunch

This was another quick and easy card. I started with Whisper White and embossed it using the Elegant Bouquet embossing plate. I then sponged the flowers using Daffodil Delight and colored the centers with the Concord Crush to resemble some of the great Pansies I have seen this year. The ribbon is Concord Crush and the image is from the Punch Bunch Sale-a-Bration set. See, I told you it was easy. No layers either.

Easy Peasy Card

I quickly made this card in under 10 minutes and you can too! I used Marina Mist for the card, ink and ribbon and stamped over the scallop punched Whisper White. The stamp is from the Thoughts and Prayers set with the sentiment from the ever useful Sincere Salutations. This would make a beautiful gift set in multiple colors.

Do you remember the old party games we used to play at birthday parties? Well, this stamp set is just the ticket for having fun while you are playing with your stamps. It is a spinner to put on a card! Take and look and have fun. Warning: you may hurt your hand trying to spin...this is just a computer image. Order one now so you can play in real life!

Create with Connie and Mary Challenge CCMC141 - Color Challenge

I am playing again with Connie and Mary...that is with their challenge. Kind of sounded like I was not their friend for a while, but even though we have not formally met, I am their friend. I have subscribed to their Create with Connie and Mary editions for the last 2 times and even won $75 worth of SU merchandise from them! I love playing with their challenges because it inspires me to think outside the box. My card today uses some the new Spring is Blossoming products and I even cased one of the cards from the SU website. I hope it still counts!

Sew Suite Card

I used the sew all the time and now I only do it to mend or hem my pants (I am very short)! I even sold my dress form at my recent garage sale to a young lady at church who I know will be able to make good use of it. But this card was calling out to me anyway. Enjoy!

Build A Blossom - A Mini Catty CASE

Art Show Project

Nothing is more rewarding than doing it yourself . . . for others.
Painters use paint, brush, and canvas. Chefs use ingredients, utensils, and oven. Writers use
paper, pen, and words. And as crafters we use stamps, ink, and paper. We also distress, punch, and
embellish. No matter the materials or tools, we artists love to do it ourselves.
Why? Because we know what we love—colors, styles, shapes, trends. We give life to our
imagination through the projects we create.
Painters display art in museums, chefs spread tables with tasty dishes, writers pen great novels,
and we create beautiful favors, cards, and décor.

We do it ourselves . . . to share it with others.

Sunset over Gay Paris - Sketch Challenge CCMC140

It did not turn out quite as I had imagined it, but hey, the sun does set over the Eiffel Tower! I made this for the current Sketch Challenge with Connie and Mary. I used the Artisitc Etchings and En Francois stamp sets. The colors are Stazon Black, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze and Bravo Burgundy inks. The Card is Cajun Craze, with Baja Breeze and Whisper White. Accents are the Black striped grosgrain ribbon and the Antique Brads.

CASE from the mini catty

Ok, I have been a seamstress since I was 10 and when I saw this little set, well, I had to have it. Stampin' Up! did a great video showing how to make this card and I am posting it here. I made a couple of substitutions because I don't have everything they have!

Easter Candy/Eat Chocolate

I used the SAB Ice Cream Parlor Paper pack to cover this candy bar. I stamped the chocolate bar from the stamp set, Eat Chocolate. Every time I think about this set I just have to eat more chocolate! Uh oh! My clothes will not fit if I keep this up.

Pretty and Fun

This card makes me think of a Prince & Princess with the crown on it. It is funky and fun. What more could you ask for in a card?

Create a Cup Cake Birthday Card

I really like this set and the matching punch but I did not have any ideas of what to do with it. I saw this card on the Create with Connie and Mary blog and was totally inspired. I used the 2 tags die cut with my Big Shot to make the background strips. Cute, huh?
