Tis' the Season for For Ornaments and Cards

I am showing a card today that I actually made months ago, I CASED the idea from Jennifer Bloomquist and made a few minor changes to make it mine. I used the Tags til Christmas set for the ornament and Raspberry Rose. Doesn't it make a great Christmas card? I love them simple and this one certainly fits the bill. Wishing all of your a very Merry Christmas.

Triple Window Punch Holiday Card

I wanted to make a quick little holiday card to share with a friend. This one makes us easily enough if you know the trick. The front layer is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. I used the 1 1/4" square punch and post-its to decide where to put the punches in the top layer. Hint: do the outside 2 first then do the middle. Now, embellish as desired. I got this idea from Mary Fish! The little circle designs in the windows are the centers of a stamp from the Ornament Keepsakes set.

Rudolph sends Christmas Wishes

IF you can believe it, I made this card in July and am just now posting it (actually, I posted it in July but dated it to show up today)! So, this is in the current mini and all the little images are so cute. I used a double embossing technique for this card that I found here.
Thanks Debbie for sharing! I wanted a simple yet fun card that might be my card for everyone this year. Don't know if this one is it yet, but it is in the running. I used Real Red, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White with the embossed Crumb Cake.

Season's Greetings

I have some friends who are quite offended by this greeting but I mean no harm by it. I respect the holiday for what it is but I like this stamp so I used it. It worked perfectly for this layout. I used Apothecary Art to make a holiday card. I attempted to water color the image. I think it turned out well. Any way, Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday or Season's Greetings to you. I am coming home from my holiday cruise today as you read this one.

3x3 Gift Holiday Insert

I love the size of these little cards and this one is sized a bit larger so I will have to  make a special envie for it or else punch it and tie it on to a package. Either way it is just as good. This was cased from the November 2011 Stampin' Success.
P.S. I hope you got all your shopping done! If not, I am open 24/7 here at my stampin' blog.

Christmas Greetings

Today is the day after Thanksgiving and that makes it is officially the Christmas season! I actually made this little gift in June! I made it, photographed it and blogged it on June 21st. Am I ahead of the game or what! For those who really know me this is so totally NOT me. I am one to fly by the seat of my pants! This is a cute sour cream container made from the sparkly silver paper. You know how I love glitter! This would look great hanging on a tree filled with little goodies or a quick hostess gift.

A Grateful Heart

OK, so I made this card a long time ago now (back in July) and am posting it now for Thanksgiving. I love the colors in the Comfort Cafe paper and I found this tutorial for the card on the web from Kelly Acheson. She has a great tutorial on her site. It is a different kind of fold but it is not hard at all. With the colors and the leaf from Gently Falling it makes a wonderful Thanksgiving card. I especially like the sentiment from the Pursuit of Happiness set. Happy Thanksgiving one and all.

Final Baby Wipe

OK, this is my final fall baby wipe card. See, I told you I blogged early so when I had the wipe going, I used it for many projects. For this card I used post-its to block out the center and stamped the background with French Script. I then drew the lines and little dots. I stamped the leaf and trimmed it then I cut the bronze leaf to go under for a real wow! I don't think the photo's show the sparkle. It is really pretty IRL.

Hello Hello Hello

I am showing another baby wipe card but this time I did the background using the baby wipe. Boy did my hands get messy. I should have worn gloves for that one! But, the colors are so pretty. Then I used the same colors to stamp the leaves.

The leaf is from French Foliage. The colors are Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White.

Pumpkin Blessings

I went out with a group of a few ladies on a Friday night in October when our husbands were at the men's retreat and we painted! I know it is not stamping related but it is still art so I figured I would post it here as this is my blog and I can show what I want! It was not the picture that they were doing but the crowd was small so she let me kind of do my own thing. The saying is very appropriate for Thanksgiving and it is a reminder to always give thanks for our many blessings!

Lolly "Gagged" Pumpkin - Reposted

I literally made 28 12" pieces of card stock into the "lollies" to make this oh so wonderful pumpkin that I have sitting on my dinner table as a centerpiece. I saw one at a store and ran home to make one. I did not have enough (8) sheets of the solid card stock so I used the now retired specialty paper called Autumn Spice. As you can see, it even sits sort of crooked like a real pumpkin (but it doesn't ever get rotten!) I really like how it turned out! Thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving all month!

Altered Mini Purse

I saw this honorable mention project in a 2008 Stampin' Success and since they did not have the little purse it was a little different but the idea is the same. I cut little strips of More Musard for the hay bale. The pumpkin and vines were simple punches. I guess this would make another great table favor!

Pilgrim Candy Bar

I guess this is a hybrid candy bar cover. I printed out the face but the rest is all me and Stampin' Up! supplies. It covers a regular sized Hershey bar. Isn't this literally the sweetest thing you have seen all day?

Another Treat/Favor for the table

Can you ever go wrong with too many treats or favors? I don't think so. It would be pretty to have a different one at everyone's place at the table except in our family where we could have as many as 30 at the table. That would take a lot of different favors and I am not sure how many I could pull off. Whew,on the cruise there should be no more than 12 at our table. Last year we were at a table for 2.

Fall Candle

This is one of the little candles they sell at 'Wally World' and this one smells like yummy apples! Mmmmm! Too bad we don't have smell-a-vision on the computer yet. So, even though you can't see it, I wrapped the candle with some of the pretty Natural Composition DSP then cut and added the pretty leaves with the new wooden button. It is going to look and smell great in the guest bathroom.

As a bonus for me, it matches The Paper Players challenge this week! You can see it here and maybe you might want to play along.

Turkey Poop

What would the holidays be without a little poop...turkey poop that is! It is still cute no matter how old it is and some people never get tired of it! Mom, this is for you. In fact, my whole family would like this little bag of goodies. Another cute Owl punch turkey.

Little Pilgrim card

Wouldn't this make a great way to put out names for your Thanksgiving table? It is a little 3x3 card and it would look so cute at your table or mine. Of course, I am going to be on a cruise for Thanksgiving but I still might put it at my table! Hmm, I wonder if it is still OK to say Pilgrim, what is the politically correct word for them?

Day of Gratitude Card

I found this layout and wanted to make a card using it and since I am blogging fall and Thanksgiving right now it only made since to use a fall set like Day of Gratitude. The leafs are simple and pretty and I love the font on the word Gratitude.

Leafy Book Mark

Do you remember the old Sears catalogs where you would get it and make your marks all over the pages where you wanted something? Well, I sure do and wouldn't it have been more fun to have this kind of a bookmark to hold your place. Maybe Santa would have been able to find ALL the toys and stuff that I marked if he had seen this cute bookmark. Again, I used the baby wipe technique. It is such a fun way to ink your stamps.

Turkey Table Favor

This little table favor was made quickly and simply using the 2 tags die cut. I cut 2 tags, embossed them and out them together to hold a little candy or small gift. The ribbon is retired but it was too pretty to let it sit around and be wasted. Do you recognize the turkey? Yes, it is the owl punch with the ears cut off! What fun!
I am also submitting this little guy to The Paper Players challenge 120. It is a Thanksgiving theme this week. How perfect!

CCMC225 A Sketch Challenge

I did not get to play with any challenges last week. It has been C R A Z Y at my "real" job. I had to make several changes and sent one little guy to the hospital, call 911 for another situation and another had his feeding tube come out! Must have been a full moon and Halloween!

So, I am playing tonight while I am baking brownies for the stampers that are coming over in a few minutes. The challenge is a simple one. And here is my take on it. This is for the Create with Connie and Mary and you can see all of the projects here.

Kindness Matters

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Well, not really but it is a pretty good pumpkin! Again I am using the Seasonal Sayings set for the sentiment. I added texture to the leaves, added a brass button and some of the Crumb Cake tulle. The edges of the pumpkin were brushed with Early Expresso. I think it turned out rather well. It is almost time for pumpkin pie!

Altered Milk Carton

I have not played much with the milk carton die. I have had it for a long time and just have not pulled it out. So, I was blogging around and came across a box like this and decided that today was the day to do it. It really was not hard. I cut 2 of the milk cartons and cut off the last panel on each of them and put them together. I added the DSP and ribbon, closed the top with hemp, added some of the die cut leaves and Voila! A pretty little container for candy or treats that would look good on anyone's table. I think Martha S might even like it!

Pursuit of Happiness

I used the baby wipe technique for this card. I have not used that in quite a while and my hands were sticky so I pulled out my handy-dandy wipes and got my inspiration. It makes such a pretty stamp pad! I used one of the leaves from the Gently Falling set and stamped away. Then I found this extra bronze leaf and added it for a little pizazz. Love these colors!

Thanks is for Giving

I got this little stamp set, Seasonal Sayings, free at the Chattanooga regional and just got around to using it. It is a fun set and I hope it makes to the big catty next year but until then I will have to use it and make good use of it. This little card was done using tone-on-tone stamping with the Gently Falling stamp set.

Turkey's Beware!

OK, I was at Archiver's store the other day and saw this wonderful turkey that they had on display. However, I could not find the directions and it was not a kit. I came on home and began a search for Thanksgiving projects and came upon the directions. You can get them here. It was time consuming but very fun. I had to get a new hot glue gun, I never can seem to find it when I need it! I don't think mine turned out perfectly but then again, "perfect is yucky." Would love to see your version!

Fall Broom Decorative Piece

Well, if you have never been to Create with Connie and Mary, you need to go now. On their preview to their subscription the first project, by Mary Brown, is this wonderful broom. She gives the full tutorial and it is FREE! Check it out. This is my version of her broom.
