For All Things

I know I am in the minority but I don't like fall. I am a real spring/summer girl! I say bring on the 90's and the flowers and the hummingbirds etc...Fall means that the garden is completely changed or shriveled, the hummingbirds move to warmer climates. No butterflies...sniff, sniff. It also means reagweed...coughing, sniffing and sneezing. So, that being said I have to convince myself to make fall cards and then to send them. I made this one using the new For All Things set. It has such pretty images. I cased a card or 3 that I saw on Splitcoast for this one.

While the Wipe is Wet...

Well, the wipe was wet and the ink was still good so I made another quick tag using the same stamp and put together a quick little bag for a gift bag. These bags are so cute and they are waxed on the inside so you can add some fresh cookies and have a treat to go that will not 'leak' through the bag.

Ornamental Pine Luminary

While I had my Ornamental Pine out and dreaming of Christmas...I went about to make a luminary. Now I have never made one though they have been around forever. I used 2 pieces of 4.5 x 11" Real Red card stock and scored them at 4.25 and 8.5. I cut them at 8.75. I used my Big Shot and the star dies to make a star in all 4 sides. I stamped the pine onto vellum using Always Artichoke and added that to the inside of the stars. I put it all together added a candle and Voila!

Freaky Friends

While the title of the stamp set may describe some of my peeps...it is just the title of the stamp set and NOT a commentary on my friends. I made a quick little 4.5 x 4.5 inch card for this one. I used some of the cute Motley Monsters DSP and took all my colors from that DSP. I used Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. I think it turned out really cute.

CASING Too Many Cats

I found her card on Splitcoast and loved the simplicity of it so I used the colors for this challenge and changed my sentiment because I needed a thank you note for a friend.  I am such a sucker for CAS cards. Love these feathers. I don't know why I have never gotten any feather stamps before. They are so pretty and especially with the framelit! Stamp set is Four Feathers and the sentiment is Four you.
I used one of the gift notes to make this card.

The Paper Players Color Challenge #213

Been a while since I played with a 4 color challenge! It took me several tries to get it like I wanted it too. I used the Baby Wipe technique and it took me a couple of baby wipes. I just couldn't get the ink right. Finally I settled on this one. I used some of the Blackberry Bliss DSP from the Moonlight DSP paper stack. I added the ribbon and it still needed something so I used the Big Shot and the new Fun Fall framelets for the little leaves.

Christmas Kisses in a Bag

It is never too early to start working on Christmas projects. Christmas is a Big Deal so let's put some time and energy into it, right! I made a little bag to hold some candy and I chose to put kisses in since I  had a bunch sitting on my desk. I used some of the Santa and Co. DSP to make my bag. I then took Whisper White and stamped an image from the Cheerful Christmas set. I used  my Big Shot to cut it and then sponged the edges. I tied a bow to hold it shut and that is it! Quick and easy.  Yum!

Christmas vs. Fall Colors

This is the challenge. To make a card using these very fall colors. I was putting together my new stamp sets and decided that a fall colored Christmas card might work. So, I went to make one using these colors with Ornamental Pine. I can totally see a tree in the color of Artichoke but the ornaments or what in the other colors??!!

Another Halloween Goodie

I was perusing around Pintrest for the fall and found the cutest little Halloween sucker. Well, I don't have any suckers so I simply made mine to hold 2 kisses. It works just as well and is still fun and delicious. I started with a piece of 5 x 2 Pumpkin Pie card stock. I scored it at 2" and 3".  I folded it on the score lines and set it aside. I then punched 2 small and 1 large oval from Pumpkin Pie. I sponged the edges with Basic Black and had drew a Pumpkin face. I used the Bird punch to make the vine with Old Olive. I added kisses making them stick with the Snail tape and put it all together. I stamped the ribbon on and stapled it shut using the new mini stapler.

Halloween Hello Card

I am using some of my retired sets and stuff that I could not part with when I moved last year. Hey, they might have landed in the new catalog. It turns out that they didn't carry them over but I have them and decided to play with them today. I used Gorgeous Grunge with Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black. I used last year's Washi Tape and some round punches. The stamp set was called Halloween Hello. Lots of cute images.

Fall is in the Air??

It is true that I saw a tree or 2 that has got some leaves changing colors but that was in August. I figured it was due to the drought not fall. But on Saturday we woke up to some real fall like weather. It was raining and the high was 66 degrees. Now that feels like fall to me. So, as I was crafting and staying out of the rain I made a couple of fall cards. I am still waiting on new fall stuff to arrive...hurry please. So...

I took the Autumn Accents Bigz and cut some leaves then sponged them with fall colors to make a pretty silhouette. It still needed something so I added a quick leaf.

CCMC319 - Sketch Challenge

CCMC319

Yea! A sketch. I love sketches when your MOJO is not going well. All you have to do is take the sketch, substitute your own colors and DSP and voila! You have a card. That is how it went with this one. Also, it is a fall theme for them for I did fall too. Actually, I am in a fall mood which if you know me, is NOT like me. I do not typically like fall just because it follows with winter (my least favorite time of year)! Any way, back to my card. I started with the Moonlight DSP stack. I am loving the Blackberry Bliss and the Hello Honey colors. I used Sahara Sand for the card, then I layered the DSP on a piece of Blackberry Bliss. I used the Autumn Accents for my elements and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. And that is all I have to say about that!

A Fall Card

Ok. so while I had out my Big Shot and the Autumn Accents Bigz die I figured I might as well cut another leaf or 2. I cased a card I found on Pintrest to make this one. It was simple and so pretty. I think it was done by Iguanastamp! I used 2 of the new In Colors on it...Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey. The sentiment is from Four You. I found a sketch for this card too. It is The Paper Players. See it here.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 330 (TSSC330)

Again, I feel like my MOJO is not working so well right now but I am trying to get it back by playing with some challenges. I did get my room cleaned a little bit before I could play. So, today I used some of the Confetti Celebration DSP for my card. I actually took a card I had messed up and dressed it up by using the DSP to cover the original 'booboo.' Enjoy!

Creative Challenge Club 11

Whew! I found these colors rather challenging this week. I don't have any of the new stamps or the fall stamp sets yet. They should be here next week so I had to improvise a bit. I opened my scraps stash and found a file folder card already punched and ready to be embellished so I used it for this challenge.  I used the Really Good Greetings set and the happy birthday is from the Something to Say set. Keeping it Real.

Thank You Card

Well, I have had a busy and crazy work week! I don't know about you but some weeks are just like that. Of course, Monday was a holiday. Then I was in training's on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Different ones that just fell back-to-back. I had to call on some of my school secretaries to look out for my diabetics and one school has 3! I made a special card for this gal because she had to go above and beyond for me. I made a Z fold card that I saw on a video on Dawn's website. I used Tangelo Twist and Very Vanilla for my card.  Thanks, Denise! And the card turned out nicely too!

Help! I am a Messy Stamper!

OK, is there anyone else out there who is messy? I am usually kind of organized...at least I know where most things are but I am always leaving something out instead of cleaning up right away. Not with the dishes, not with the laundry...just with the paper crafts. Help! I need some serious organizing!

Any and All Suggestions taken!
