Self Closing Halloween Treat Box

I found a great tutorial from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts on how to make this cute little self-closing box. I love all things 3D and the self-closing thing makes it a dream! No stapling, ribbons, clips etc...unless you want them!

I made mine using Tangerine Tango card stock and some of the new Happy Haunting DSP. I stamped on Very Vanilla using Basic Black and Tangerine Tango and my Cheer All Year stamp set. Just add treats and you have a quick and easy 3D gift.

Give Thanks

I guess I am softening a bit. I used to really not like fall because of the forcasting of rain and cooler weather. Being here in Oklahoma, well, we need the rain so I am now wishing for fall. Crazy, huh? I still don't want cool/cold weather but ...

Masculine Card

The thing that makes this card is the sponging. I used the sponging to frame the card and it is perfet for this little goose. It will be a great card for someone who needs a little 'pick-me-up.'

Just Because

Since my MIL is in an assisted living facility I am finding that I need to make more and more cards and thinking of you gets a little boring after a while. I love this 'just because' stamp. It fits so many moods.

Bunches of Birthday Cards

Here is another quick and easy stack of cards and this one is for birthday's. Who doesn't need birthday cards? I put my Happy Birthday on the large clear stamp and got it just the way I wanted then stamped away. I added a stamp of color using Gorgeous Grunge along with the grungy dots. Fast and fabulous!

Cased from Mary Brown

Well, sometimes I just look around and then save cards to my desktop to do 'sometime.' Well, when we got home from our cruise our cable was out and so I came up to play. No cable, no internet. Now, for inspiration I turned to my desktop stash of cards and ideas. This one was so perfect I cased it as it was.

Little Baby Bumblebee

I needed another baby card and saw that I had never used this sweet baby bumblebee stamp! What a shame! I pulled out my Hello Honey and whipped this one up. I think I might try making the bee in other colors just for fun!

Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #51

051

Time to play with another sketch. Somehow I missed it last month. I love the chance to earn FREE tutorials. For every 10 submissions they randomly choose a card for a free month of tutorials...your choice of the month. My card this time was done using You're Sublime. It is the first time I have used the frog from the set.

Your the Friend

I saw this layout in a magazine and sat down and tried it quickly. I love this saying and it works so well with the flag look. The simple wrapping at the top makes the card. I added a touch of color with my markers to finish it off.

Quick and Easy Cards

As Paper Crafter's we love cards that are simple and quick to do. You will love this idea. Take your Designer Series Paper and make cards in a snap. Simply put 2 pieces or sides together like the samples below, add a quick sentiment and you are done! This would be so great for birthday cards too!

Pals Paper Arts - PPA267 – A Color Challenge

PPA267

An interesting color challenge. Hmmm, something different. Well, since I just did some diving and was again reminded of how creative and amazing our Father truly is...I decided to do an oceanic card. These colors and so many more are in the sea...

Chalk It Up To Love

One more project/card for this set for now. I also made another card similar but differently than the ones Stampin' Up! shows in the kit video. This is a sympathy card for a friend who has recently lost the 4th member of her family in the past 9 months! It is very sweet and soft. Very comforting if you ask my opinion.

Chalk It Up To Love

This is an altered card. I cut the cute bow pink paper and layered it on Basic Black and then on a Very Vanilla card base. I used scraps around the punch out pink flowers to make the circle and scraps of Very Vanilla for the flower. That is a tiny pearl in the middle of the flower.

As is my habit of paper 'misering'...I cut out 2 tags from the Basic Black before layering it. Take a look here.

Remembering 9/11

We were discussing at dinner tonight the fact that so many school-aged children now were either toddlers or not even born in 2001. It seems not so long ago to me. We need to remember those who fell and those who fought for our freedom. I used a quote from George W. Bush on my card..."Our Country is Strong." Let us never forget lest we repeat!

Chalk It Up To Love - Project 1

Ok. so in this kit you have enough to make 3 boxes like in the video. I altered this one a bit. I added a strip of the gold strip paper and changed the ribbon to one I had in my scraps pile. Now, what to put into this beauty?

Lunchbox Love

I love this idea. Although I don't have little kids at home anymore encouraging little notes can be fun anywhere. Who wouldn't want one? I used to  make notes like this to help my daughter with her SAT by giving her a word of the day and the meaning. Each day she got a little love note in her lunch.

I used  Over the Rainbow set and some retired DSP with Whisper White and my all time favorite color of Tempting Turquoise!

Scallop Circle Candy Holder

OK, I found this cute tutorial for a candy holder (and you know how I love candy) so I had to sit down and make one. It was very easy using the largest circle from the circle framelits. Here is the video link to Becky Roberts tutorial.

I made a few changes to mine including the candy and voila! Another quick and easy gift for co-workers desks.  Grab your paper and supplies and make one now!

July Paper Pumpkin...

Thanks a Latte. If only I liked coffee. I learned a song in elementary song that convince me not to like coffee. I  think it may have been a brainwashing exercise! The words are:

C O F F E E, coffee is not for me!
It's a drink some people wake up with...
That it makes them nervous is no myth!
Slaves to a coffee cup,
They can't give coffee up!

July Paper Pumpkin...

How about a cup of cheer? I know some people that could always use a cup of cheer. This card is perfect!
