Vintage New Year's Cards #2

And on to card #2. Again, the colors of the old cards are so cool. This one is backed on Flirty Flamingo!

Vintage New Year's Cards #1

Well, when I don't have an appropriate stamp set I revert to the computer. I love anything vintage so it is always fun to make cards using vintage images. They print up so well on Stampin' Up! card stock and I can always match the colors. Here is card #1 before I mail it.

Another Train Card

I took care of a student whose dad worked for the railroads all of his career. He loved his dad and talked about the trains. His dad loves trains also. This card is for them and any fans of Sheldon and the Big Bang Theory.

Merry Christmas

Christmas is past for so many but for others they are still waiting to get together with family and friends. It makes sense that the whole world is not off on any one day of the year. Consider hospitals and the military and that covers soooo many people. So, I am posting yet another simple card. I came across my washi tape looking for something else (which I did not find  yet) and decided to play with it. This is the same layout as a couple of days ago.

Another Christmas Magic card

It is hard to believe that another season has come and is quickly ending! Goodbye Christmas 2016. I made another quick card using 2 sets actually. I used the sentiment from Greetings from Santa and the rest of the images are from Christmas Magic. So pretty!

My Paper Pumpkin

Did you get to play with your latest Paper Pumpkin kit yet? I have to say that I have not but one of my demonstrator friends who now lives far from me mailed me one of the cards so I am showing hers...Hi Nadine! This kit adds so much layers and fun. The finished product is too small to mail so Nadine just enclosed it in a regular sized envelope, No problemo!

And a Good Night to All...

I had a little time to stamp today...not so many errands to run and I played with a few Christmas cards. I can never have too many. There seems to be someone who always needs one. So I played with an old stamp set. So many are having snow now so I made a flake card.

A Wintry Wish for Christmas

In the South we do not have to worry about a white Christmas. It has only happened once in my lifetime and it had melted away by 9 AM. But, it is so pretty to look at and think about. I made a quick white wintry card here.

A Frosty Shaker Card

I have not made a shaker card in quite a while and yet they are not that hard. I wanted to do one with the cute snowman from the soon to be retiring Christmas Magic. This set has so many beautiful images and you can do so much with them. I used Whisper White card stock and a piece from the Festive Designer Paper. I added chunky white glitter for the snow.

Father Christmas

A great Father Christmas card that is square. Yes, it costs more to mail it but it is so worth it. I love the designs at the top and bottom and used the 3 trees from the Christmas Magic set. Keeping it simple, no coloring for me.

Greetings from Santa

I am loving this Christmas set but it is saying its final farewell. By January 3rd it will be gone! Get it while you can. I saw this sketch on Pintrest and decided to make it mine!

Merry Everything...Happy Always

Another great sentiment that made a pretty and easy card. Again, the card is Garden Green, Very Vanilla and uses the DSP from the annual catalog. Keeping it simple, that is always my theme for the holidays.

Christmas Gifts, Round 1

I hope every one likes handmade gifts like I do. I think they show a lot of creativity and thought. I made these the 1st weekend of November (getting them done) so I could relax more now. I bought the canning jars with the wide mouths and filled them with the yummy soft mints. I used the Big Shot to make the cool Santa on the lid and stamped the sentiment. Putting them all together for 12 fun and pretty gifts for my husband to use at work.

Vintage Santa

Who does not love the look of the vintage Santa? I know I have always been drawn to old stuff and now that I am older, well, I guess I should like me even more! I made this into a square card to fit things the way I wanted. I had to make Santa to add the toy bag. I used a sponge to add the aged look in the background.

CCMC435 - Sketch Challenge

A fun and simple sketch to play with this week at Create with Connie and Mary. I, like most all others went with the theme of Christmas. I mean...it is the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Never too early for Snow!

It is never too early for snow...at least when it comes to cards. It does not snow much here in Dallas...more icy like Atlanta but I can dream, right? So, this card is a layered dream. Very easy and I added a little bow again just to finish it off.

Merry Christmas...It is December Ya'll!

How about a non-traditional colored card for Christmas? I love this little card and it features the Wondrous Wreath set. I started with Whisper White and a piece of Crumb Cake. I embossed the cake to look like the wooden front door. I stamped the wreath with Pool Party and added a pretty bow. The dots don't show it very well but they are gold embossed. Very Pretty IRL.
