A Halloween Gift Card Holder

At the school where I work we "Booed" one another as a sort of moral booster and just for FUN! I made this little gift card holder and put in a $5 gift card for Starbucks! Who would not be cheered by that! I made the spider web with an old Basic Black pad. The image is from the Dark and Dreary set.

Haunted House

This little card was made using House of Haunts and some retired DSP. This is the split image technique that is really easy and a lot of fun. If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I will get back to you shortly.

P.S. Happy Halloween!

Boo Boxes - again

I still can't believe that I am finished stamping in ABC order. I posted 92 times using this challenge and I really had fun. I never thought, what am I going to make today! That alone was a blessing!

I know I posted these little beauties last year but I can't help it. They are so cute! Yes, they are made with now retired papers but any paper will do. They were quick and easy to do also. I got the pattern from this website. I would love to see what you do with it. See you soon!

Winter Post

Well, this card completes my Stamping in ABC order cards. I have had fun and the amazing thing is that I have been able to keep up and even work ahead because I did not have to think of what to do next. I may have to challenge myself again.

This last card I cased from ponygirl40. I did not have all the supplies she had so I had to do my best with what I had. I really like the way this came out! Supplies used: Confetti Cream, Garden Green, Crumb Cake and yes Marge...Bravo Burgundy! It makes a great vintage look on a project.

Winter Post

This is another of the vintage stamps sets I like so much. I made 2 cards to show you for this set. This one features 3 stamp sets...Lovely as a Tree, A Cardinal Christmas and Winter Post. I used Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Kraft. The ink is Early Espresso.

Well Scripted

This is another of the words only sets that is so indispensable. I really like the script on this set and it has stamps for mother, father, birthday, Easter, love, and the one I used here...congratulations. I used the scoring blade on my cutter to make the score lines seen.

Welcome Christmas

This little set debuted in the Idea Book and Catalog this year and it immediately caught my eye because I love the vintage look of things. I pulled it out to play with it and just went with it. I used some of the Newsprint DSP along with Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Very Vanilla.

Vintage Vogue

Ok, so this is the first time I have tried the Black Magic Technique. I think it turned out alright, but I could use some help with my cutting. Either that or I am going to have to put on my reading glasses to cut! Oh well. I used Rose Red, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.

Upsy Daisy

This is a Black and Blue card! No, it is not bruised, just the colors I used. This is an easy 4 1/4" square card. I just stamped, layered, embellished and Voila! Got to love that Marina Mist!

Under the Stars

Ok, I totally CASED this card but it was so cute! I did change my sentiments and colors but the layout is the same. So, sue me! Don't you just love S'mores! It reminds me of camping and girl scouts and all the fun we have had with our kids over the years!

Trendy Trees

Everyone loves this little set. On one stamping forum I visited, I saw over 1000 samples made with this set. One of the best things is that it is so affordable, only 17.95. I made a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card today. The tree I stamped 3 times to get the look of the fall leaves we all like to see. I backed it with Chocolate Chip and used a retired Chocolate Chip corduroy button for a little accent.

Tree Trimmings

I almost missed this little stamp set. I pulled it out after I thought I was finished with the T's. So, this one is fairly simple. I used Garden Green, Real Red and Very Vanilla. The side foliage was done with the Lovely as a Tree set. A very basic Christmas card.

Tote-ally Tess

Ok, so it is almost Halloween and I wanted to make her look a little like Samantha from "Bewitched." I used the Nite Owl DSP to make the cover and to stamp her pants onto. I accented with the Tangerine Tango. I again used a set from the Tiny Tags on the purse where it says Boo! The raven/crow came from the Dark and Dreary set. The Happy Halloween again came from the All Holidays set. I am guessing that the bird is "Durwood" as tricked out by Endora, her mother.

Tiny Tags

This little set is great for those really small projects like the Simply Adorned jewelry charms. I like the style of it but again, I had not used it. I used just the baby sentiment and the great little tag punch that goes with the set. This card was a baby girl card that I cased from somewhere (sorry, can't remember). Theirs was a boy card so I changed it up a little to make mine for a little girl. For this card I used Whisper White, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. This was a fun and fast card to make.

Thoughts and Prayers

I have loved this stamp set since I first saw it. I love the natural style of the trees and limbs and what is not to love about a great all around, versatile set like this? I scored the edges of my card to make a border for the focal point. I stamped the tree and limbs with Certainly Celery and went over the trunk and limbs with the Chocolate Chip marker. I then thumped the Old Olive and Cajun Craze onto the leaves to give it a fallish feel. Simple, classic, just my style.

Things I Love

This is another FREEBIE I earned during Sale-a-Bration. If you love to get FREE things then Stampin' Up! and Sale-a-Bration are just the ticket! I would love to have you join my team of creative stampers!

This card Is a simple one I cased from last years Idea Book and Catalog. Of course, I made a few changes to make it my own. I think chocolate, shoes and shopping wrap it up for me. How about you?

3 Little Words

Well, I got this stamp set FREE during Sale-a-Bration this year. You gotta love FREE! But, I had never really used it. I mounted it and decided to look for different words to use with it and found these int he All Holidays set and decided to make it a Christmas card. I can't say that it is my absolute favorite but I do like it. I used the flourish from the Priceless set. Colors used are: Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizazz and Whisper White.

Teeny Tiny Wishes

Have you missed me? I don't think so! I "pre-blogged" so that while I was gone and trying to get my feet back on the ground my blog would not go unattended. Now I am back and raring to go. I made 6 cards today and will continue to post them in order!

Today I am showing you this seasonally wonderful card using Teeny Tiny Wishes. As you may know this is a set of only words but it goes with any holiday or event. I wanted to make a Halloween card and this is what I did. I used my oldest Basic Black stamp pad (8 years old) and used the edges to make the spider web. I accented with the Nite Owl DSP and the focal point was done using a new set from the mini called, Dark and Dreary. Colors used are: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White, Concord Crush and Old Olive.

Teddy and Train

I cased myself for this sketch. It turned out so well a few months ago that I decided to do it for a baby card and I love it. I water colored the little bear and I am still working on that technique. I layered it all together using Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and a bow of Bashful Blue satin ribbon. I embossed the white using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I can hardly wait to use it! Now to make more for girl babies.

Tart &Tangy

This is a fun set and has been since its debut a few years ago. I have made lots of fun things with it including some good smelling cards. Today I made a basic card that features all the fruits on it. The colors I used were: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight Real Red and Tangerine Tango.

Sweet Centers

This stamp set was made to use with the treat cups but I wanted to do something different. Today I made a 3-D project using the Big Shot 2 Tags die. I colored my stamp in with the Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. This will be a fun treat for the kiddies this year!

Studio Sketches

This is one of the new sets in the catalog this year and it is so easy to use. You can color it as I did or leave it as a sketch. It looks great either way. For this card I used my embossing folder, Early Expresso, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizazz to make the Granny Smith apples. Fall is here! Bring on the apples.

Sock Monkey

I really like this little guy but I have totally neglected him. I think I may like him because I had one like him as a child. Anyway, I decided to make a postage stamp card since postage is going up again! I used Soft Suede, Real Red, and Very Vanilla with the stamps being colored with Daffodil Delight.

Snow Swirled

I love, love, love the way this card came together. I started with one of my favorite greens...Garden Green and then added Whisper White and a little vellum. I embossed the white using the new Northern Flurry embossing folder from the Holiday mini. It is so elegant!

Smarty Pants

This is a book mark card. I started with the Real Red and Play Date DSP. I stamped the "silly sentiment" on Old Olive and punched out a flower. Simple, fun and easy!

Sincere Salutations

This is a "must have" set for me. I love all the greetings and they all are the same size so as you plan a card, you could do a set with different occasions! For this card I again kept it simple (just my style) and used the Big Shot to emboss the whisper white. I stamped the sentiment in Not Quite Navy and added a few ribbons.

Simply Said

I love this set because it has so many stamps and it is a 2-step stamping set. 2-step stamping simply means you can stamp the outline then the inside of the stamp to fill in the colors OR you can stamp the outline and color it in by hand. Whatever floats your boat! For this card I used some of the new Elegant Soiree DSP, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla.

Sense of Time

This will make a great masculine card. I kept it simple, yes a little ribbon, but no bow! Colors used were Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede for the distressing color.

Seasonal Sentiments

This stamp set is in the new mini catalog. It has sayings for 4 great holidays: Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and a Valentine/or anniversary. Today I used Baja Breeze for my base, overlaid with Cajun Craze and a little touch of Basic Black. I used my watercolor crayons to color the leaf. This will make a great Thanksgiving card for those relatives you may not get to visit with this year.

Season of Friendship

I have had this set for a while and have never used it! I love the tree and the little images that go with it so I can't imagine what I have been waiting for. Anyway, I have used it now. The card is Certainly Celery with a overlay of Soft Suede. Next I added a layer of Greenhouse Gala DSP. The ink colors I used were: Soft Suede, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Pear Pizazz, and Regal Rose. The little bird was stamped with Pacific Point.
