July Stamper's Projects

I have recently restarted my Stampin' Up! with a few ladies (hoping to grow to more) and these are the projects we stamped for July. I have also had seven new Paper Pumpkin customers since I started sharing again! As you can see I clearly love the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. But, I also decided to play with the new bags and the Tags and More Accessory kit.

Sail Away Suite 3

I can assure you that I am not done with this suite but I will be moving on to other suites/ideas soon. These next few cards were also done quickly and easily with the same Memories and More pack.

Sail Away Suite 2

I interrupt this Sail Away post for an important announcement.  Christmas is officially 6 months away! Yea for me. I love the holiday festivities even though all my kiddos are grown and far away! Who is ready? I will be hosting a Christmas card class really soon.

But, back to the business at hand. Today I am showing some of the cards I made using the Sail Away Memories and More pack and some card stock. I actually hoarded the card pack from the last mini to be able to use for these cards. No stamping was required for these great cards!

Come Sail Away Suite

For the next several posts  I will be focusing on the Sail Away suite seen on pages 145 - 146 in the catalog. I am in love with this suite. Of course, we live right on a lake and sailing is a goal for us. Currently we only kayak but hopefully that will change. This suite offers some wonderful ideas and the DSP is great. This card I am showing today was cased from Mary Brown. With all her perfection, I could not see any way to improve on it.

Sailing Home

Sailing Home is one of my favorite sets from this catalog. I have had a desire to sail for about 15 years and still we have not taken a course that way. Maybe this year or next. We love to scuba dive and be on the water kayaking and sailing. Well, you have to have a goal to get there... Here is a pretty card with that goal in mind...

Floral Essence

I am not sure I have used this color combo before but I do like it. I tend to gravitate to the brights mostly but this one came out pretty using Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.

Animal Outing

Using more old DSP on this card and a retired embossing plate to make this one. I should have colored the grass a little differently but you get the idea of grass. I think this makes such a fun card for a couple or friends.  Happy birthday to my youngest sister, Karen Walker!

P450 - A Color Challenge from LeAnne

The Paper Players have a fun color challenge this week. I am loving the bright and bold colors. I quickly scanned my DSP and finding that I had none with these colors I went and made my own background. To me these colors scream...Mermaid so I pulled Magical Mermaid and this is what I came up with. P.S. I cased the catalog for this one.

Abstract Impressions

Another Abstract card and I will move on, I promise. I think I might have made a similar card to this one before but oh well. So pretty!

A Porthole card

I saw this card on Pinterest and had to case it! I used the copper shiny card stock and the layering circles to make the porthole. Added the gold pearls to make it look like a porthole. I used the new stamp set Sailing  Home and quickly added a little water coloring and Wink of Stella.

Abstract Impressions again

While I had the stamp set out I made another card using up some of the hoarded DSP from the old catalog. Why do I always do that? I have got to get better (so I have said for the last 15 years). This paper is so pretty and you really don't have to do much to make a nice card with it.

PP449 - A Theme Challenge from Laurie

Hello everyone! Laurie here with this weeks challenge, and I hope a fun one! I chose water sports for my theme. It's 4th of July weekend and people are out and about doing all kinds of fun activities on the lakes around here. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

For my card I chose one of my favorite outdoor activities...scuba diving. If you look closely a diver is part of my watermark. I guess I am a diving diva card maker. I also love kayaking and hiking and gardening! Lots of sponging (pun intended) and coral with a silhouette of me diving in the Caribbean sea. As a note, I just mad my 600th + dive in May! So many wonders below the sea's surface!

Floral Essence Wedding Card

I made this card for a special couple that got married on the 29th of June. We mentored them through Guide to Decide before they got engaged and spent many hours getting to know this young couple. We got an engraved Bible for them with their married names on it and added this little card.

Accented Blooms

This stamp set is a bit limiting but I don't think you can make a bad card with it. It is easy to color or use color and leave it blank. I used the old spritzer to add a little to this card. It came out a little darker than I intended but it will do. 😊

Bird Ballard note card

Talk about simple, this little note card literally uses a little layering of the pretty DSP with a sentiment and it is done. This was made in less than 5 minutes!

A Salute to the 4th!

In my opinion you just cannot or should not celebrate the 4th of July without a little crafting fun! I made this little pinwheel to top my red, white and blue candies. It took all of 5 minutes to complete and I have goodies to go!

PP448 - A Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from Joanne

I know, 2 posts in one day! What am I thinking? Well, I just realized that I could push myself to play with this challenge and I had to get it posted today before we go camping and would be without internet for a few days.

I generally find these challenges too hard for my basic little brain but I decided to try this one anyway. I decided ribbon, patterned paper and die-cut. I quickly went to my favorite suite right now, yes, Sail Away and pulled from that to make a quick and easy card.

Abstract Impressions

I have not played with this stamp set in a while and I love the impressionistic look of the flowers. I did a little layering and matched the stamping added a butterfly with a little bling and called it done!

July is Here and so is the Hot Summer

Speaking of summer, have you seen the new catalog? Do you have yours yet? Let me know and I will get one to you. Also, I am planning my July event...looking at Thursday, July 11th at 7 pm at my home. Mark your calendar if you are in the Dallas/Rowlett area.

This week I have been playing with lots of different stamp sets as I work on my MoJo! This first card was a case from Mary Fish. She has such great ideas and posts from her 'friends' every week. I love to see what others are doing and see if I can adapt it to use the supplies that I have on hand.

This is a 3x3 card with a magnolia made with the Big Shot using Coastal Cabana and the dies that go with the Good Morning Magnolia set. The thanks is from the same set. Add a little bling with the
