So this one was made using some glitter. I just love glitter and adding it to a Christmas card just makes sense. I just wanted to add a little bling to this card.

Christmas card #2

This is the 2nd holiday card I made in July using the fun memories and more Wonder of the Season pack. They are so fun and easy to do. Would make a great class for folks.

It is Finally Time for Christmas!

So, I actually made this card in July getting ready for the Christmas season. I was playing with the new mini catalog and had ordered the  Wonder of the Season memories and more card pack as well as the cards and envelopes. I have ordered these since they started coming out and they make the best quick and easy cards...especially if you are a last minute Lucy! As you know if you have been following me, I try to get all my Christmas posted before Thanksgiving so I can truly relax and enjoy the holiday madness.  Here is card #1.

Long and Lean

 This card is tall and narrow or long and lean. It makes for a fun card and you can mail it in a #10 envelope. I used some of the beautiful Ornate DSP and then used elements from the Daisy Lane set (since I had it out on my desk). Again, fast and easy!

One Layout...2 cards

 I had out my Woven Heirlooms set this week and made a couple of cards using the same layout. I also used images from Daisy Lane for the fern. These were fast and easy and I especially like how the ribbon just brings them all together.

Paper Pumpkin Alternate card

 I also made one alternate for the July  kit. I used my gold ink and made some fun fireworks. I guess I should have opened this kit sooner so I could have used these stamps for 4th of July cards. Maybe I will remember next year.

Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin

 I finally got around to playing with my Paper Pumpkin kit for July! I am so behind with all the Covid-19 stuff and working as a school nurse. Yes, our students are live and at school. It is so much fun. The numbers are spreading across the campuses and we have to track them as nurses. 

Anyway, stamping and quilting have become a refuge for me in this 100+ heat we are dealing with this week. I played with my stamps and made a few of the Paper Pumpkin things.

 I got this card from my sister the other day and thought I would share it. She is new to stamping and has been ordering Paper Pumpkin and loving it. I sent her a few stamping supplies and she sent me this cute card. It is so simple. Only the front flap opens and it simply says Thanks.

I don't think you can ever have too many thank you notes, especially if you work in a school or a church both of which I do and I volunteer at church as a minister's wife. I love this daisy and the pretty DSP in the Ornate Style suite is perfect for it. I used some Expresso to set off the colors.

Beautiful Moments card

I made this card and got this set for my daughter who has a birthday coming up this month. She is a mother to 2 little girls and such a good mommy for them. I am planning to make a few cards with this set and then share the set with her for her use. I kept it clean and simple as is my style. Just a little coloring and sponging.

An Anniversary Card

IMHO Stampin' Up! could make a few more sets that say Happy Anniversary. I wanted a pretty card for a friend but could not find the right sentiment so I used this one from Dandelion Wishes. I think it works and I got to use my heat gun with the embossing...something I don't do enough.

A Little Note

This is a case I saw on SCS and changed it up a little but the layout is all hers. I used Very Vanilla and embossed a part of the front of the card then stamped and punched out the little butterflies. Yes, it is butterfly season and they will be migrating through this part of the world soon.

Gift for a New Friend

I am getting ready to go back to school and I don't mean virtually. We are starting as scheduled but the families can choose online or in school. We are expecting 50-75% of our students. I am a school nurse so I will be in the face of every sick student, staff member or whoever walks in the door. I am ramping up. But, in the mix of all this we hired a new nurse in the district so I am putting together a little gift for her. This is part of the gift...hand sanitizer. I used the new bundle LittleTreats and the die that goes with it. So fun and easy to do.

You're Amazing

I am loving the Ornate Style/Thanks suite and getting to use all the dies in the set with the DSP is so fun. The creations and ideas are unlimited and it is so versatile! This is a basic white on white with a pop of Old Olive.

Posted for You...a catalog CASE

I love this punch and I am addicted to stamps so this set and the matching punch were a no brainer for me. I quickly put this card together as seen in the catalog using the new Misty Moonlight card stock (you know how much I love blues). I colored the stamps directly with my markers and then punched them out.

Daisy Lane

I saw this card in the new catalog and made it my own. I used similar colors and the layout. I love this daisy stamp and the matching punch. It makes for a quick and easy card.

Under My Umbrella

About this time in Texas rain is a distant memory but I know the rainy season will be coming in about October. So far, no drought this year...Yay! I just wanted to use this set and make a cute umbrella with it for a friend. It will be good to have when the rain seems unending.

Painted Poppies Box Bag

I know I am a bit behind and using retired DSP but this box/bag was too cute not to make. I will be using this again in a class as soon as my stampers are comfortable with meeting again. It was easy to do and does not use too much DSP.

Just Sit Back and Relax

Whether at the beach or just crossing a lake, if ever I see a sailboat I just take a deep breath and relax just a little. I do not know how to sail but it looks so refreshing and calming. The skies are blue and the wind is perfect for you sails. Let's just pretend for a minute that all is calm!

Back on Your Feet

At this time of Pandemic and all that goes with it...increasing numbers, school getting ready to start, vacations cancelled...it seems like an appropriate card and thought. I just love these turtle images. If I ever find a turtle on his back or a seashell struggling, I always 'help' it out. It might be the nurse in me, but I hate to see things suffering.

Cards for Church with this Cutie

I recently got to spend a week with all of my grandchildren, 2 we camped with and 2 we brought home with us after camping. This is my oldest grandchild, Kara. We got to spend time together crafting and making cards.  She helped me put together over 250 cards to donate for a church that needed them for their card ministry in Georgia. Thank you, Kara!

The World Needs More of You

Isn't this a sweet sentiment..."The world needs more of you." That would be nice as an epitaph. I love these little birds. They look great colored a lot or a little. I kept this card very basic with Highland Heather and Whisper White and kept it clean and simple.

More Alternate cards for June

It seems that by the time I get all these posted (today is the last day) for this Paper Pumpkin it will be time to make another one. I have enjoyed this kit and still have lots of leftovers since I only made one of each of the planned cards. Not sure what I will do with these yet.

Alternate Cards for June's kit

The first set were made with the black ink and some whisper white card stock. I kept these so simple but I find they are still very striking. Who does not just love the simple elegance of black and white?

Paper Pumpkin Cards for June

This kit made 8 cards, 2 of each design. We made the cards quickly and then had enough to make several alterante cards. First the cards for this kit. On the 3rd card you can see the cute envelopes that came with the kit also.

June's Paper Pumpkin

I hope you have had time to take a look at the Paper Pumpkin kit for June. As you well know, I am often very late opening mine but my oldest granddaughter was here in June and she wanted to see what was in the box. We both had a great time making cards and alteratatives. I will be sharing these over the next few posts. First off, the box itself is yellow! The idea was to make a sunshine kit or box of yellow/gold/orange items to share with someone. I love that idea. I have not picked up or packaged my items yet but I am looking forward to cheering someone up.

I made the box from the kit and designed it as suggested. I will use the tissue paper to wrap items and have a fun, bright cheery gift for someone who really could use a little encouragement.

4th of July Candy!

So, it seems that I bought a bag of peanut butter m&m's last time I was out. I thought they were regular m&m's in the red, white and blue and surprise! So, I quickly bagged some and made a fun 4th of July bag of candy. Too bad we are still social distancing because they would be so fun to give away.

Another Vintage Card

This is another of the vintage 4th of July cards that I made. I really love the vintage look and love being able to make old things new again. I hope and pray that you have a safe and happy 4th of July! Remember social distancing and keep wearing those masks!

I love vintage cards and images and I made this card a while back but since it is the holiday and I may be travelling it is a great card to repost.

Timeless Tropical

It has been in the 90's every day since the end of May and it definitely feels very tropical here in Dallas, TX. I am missing not being able to get to the tropics due to this Covid stuff so I am making it feel tropical with cards and projects...
