Sympathy Card

Being a minister's wife, we often have funerals to attend and many sympathy cards to make and send. This is the most recent I made to send out to a special lady who was recently widowed.

Another Creepy Coffin

I made another creepy coffin while I had them out and this one I embellished with silver on the edges to give it a ghastly look (very subtle). I plan to make these for my Bible class kiddo's and fill them with the little packages of bones found at the $ store about now.

Is that you Coffin?

Bad joke, but as a school nurse seeing upwards of 50-60 students a day with allergies and coughs...please forgive. This cute little coffin box is in the current mini catalog and they are easy to put together and embellish.

Witches Hat Treat

This is a revisit of last year's Halloween project with witches hat. I pulled out the new DSP and updated the same project. Perfect for adding a little treat sack of your choice and using as a quick gift. The DSP measures 8 x 2-3/4 scored at 1/2, 3-/4, 4-3/4 and 7-1/2". Quick and easy. To make the pointed hat, I used my old tree punch.

Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box

This is the 2nd project we made that evening. They all loved the Big Shot and I could have sold 2 0r 3 if only Stampin' Up! was selling them now. I told them that something new and improved was coming in the future but still...alas. They can always play with mine here at my house.

And still...another cute box!

Still another great box and template from Chic N Scratch. You can also follow her for her upcoming Christmas projects. I know I will. I turned the DSP over to make my box a little differently from  hers but the pattern is all her.

Lilypad Lake

I had my monthly stamper's meeting this past week and it might be fall where you are, but it has still been in the upper 90's most everyday this past week for us. Today is 91...cooler temps are coming. This is the card we made using Lilypad Lake. Since I live on Lake Ray Hubbard I thought it was appropriate.

Another Gather Together card

This is another quick card I made using the wonderful DSP called Come to Gather and the dies that go with the stamp set, Gather Together. It was fast and simple, just my style. I am loving the Pretty Peacock with the Mint Macaron.

Gather Together card

One of the first sets I ordered from the new holiday catalog was the Gather Together set. I guess I am getting sentimental about the holidays since I am so far from home. I have to make and send cards back east especially since we cannot always go home. This is one card from the set also cased. I love the pretty DSP that goes with this set.

Good Morning Magnolia card

This card was made using the new Extra thick embossing folder call Magnolia 3D. I did not realize you need a special piece to use them so I had to make do with cardboard and thick card stock but it worked. This is a card case from Mary Fish.

Halloween Bag

Here it is the 12th of September and I am already making and thinking about Halloween. Please cut me some slack, the stores have been putting out Halloween candy and items since school started!
This is a little bag and I got the pattern from Chic N Scratch. Every year she does some fun tutorials and I love to play along.

Today I am showing 3 of the cards I made using the add on card kit and extra pieces from the Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin. I am just saying, if you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber...what are you waiting for? As I previewed on the 1st, this month will be all about Halloween and while I do not know what it will be, they do say it will b packaging of Halloween treats. I love Halloween treats!

Back to today's cards...

The Fift of Fall Paper Pumpkin

I am really excited about the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit. It has the makings of 6 gift bags and lots of extra pieces. Stampin' Up! also created a set of cards that you could order for $10 to make cards to go with the same Paper Pumpkin. Well, I quickly added that to my wish list and ordered. I will be showing some items on today and the next couple of posts.

You get to make 6 bags, 3 of each design!

A Catalog Case card

One of the things I try to emphasize to my stampers is that the catalog is more than a shopping tool. It is also a wonderful inspirational idea book. So I took the pretty card from page 112 using the Very Versailles stamp set. This is the 2nd project we made last week. I love how pretty it is and knew I had to have to vintage versailles stamp set.

Just 2 more Days to go Live

Just 2 more days until the new Holiday mini catalog goes live! I am so excited because I love the holidays! All the holidays! Halloween is so fun for the kiddo's and my husband says I am never growing up so it is fun for me too!

Here is another sneak peak of good things to come...

This is the Come to Gather Suite
