I played with this sketch today and this is what I came up with. I was inspired by another very creative designer and made a few changes to be able to call it mine. I used Best Dad Ever stamp set and some retired DSP. The colors used are: Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Pool Party, Soft Suede and Early Expresso. Without further delay...here is my card.

Praying for You card
This was another card shown at Leadership that I am just getting around to making and showing! This is very simple but very striking and could be used for either the male or female sex. I used Very Vanill and Soft Suede for all of the stamping and card stock. The stamp set is Thoughts and Prayers. I debossed the front layer and sponged the raised part.

Leadership Card Post
I took a photo of this card at Leadership and decided to copy one for myself. This little ribbon thingies on the cards are the rage right now and they are so easy to make. Just cut your strip of card stock then use a square punch to make the V thing. I used the butterfly again, I am in a rut here. Can't hardly wait for Spring to get here as I HATE winter!!! This looks like spring to me!

Birthday Card
Since today is my hubby's birthday, I thought I would show a birthday card even though this is not his birthday card. One of the best things about making birthday cards is that everybody you know has a birthday! This one is simple and I kept it that way so that I could pull it out and case myself again and again. That is one of the great things about a simple sketch. The colors used here are: Cherry Cobbler & Whisper White with ribbons of Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Vanilla lace.

My Anniversary Card for my Sweetie
It is now officially 5 days since our 31st anniversary (where has the time gone?) Each year I try to make a special card that is at least a step up from my usual clean and simple style. This year I was inspired from the Leadership meeting that I went to in San Antonio in January. I decided to make one of the cards they showed on stage. Here it is and I know you will like it too. I had to take a lot of photos of it to be able to show all the layering to you.

Kindness Matters
This card started with the beautiful Designer Cuts card in Very Vanilla. I added the Blushing Bride to the inside layer and stamped using Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride. This one was so quick and easy and you can get the Kindness Matters stamp set FREE with a qualifying SAB order of $50. Click here to order now.

SAB Box of Cards
I found this cute project on Robin Merriman's blog and decided to make one for myself. I am always needing little hostess gifts or insert cards for gifts. This one was made with the delicious Everyday Enchantment DSP that is only available until the 31st of this month. I do so love this paper and the great matching stamp set called Fresh Vintage. I am going to miss posting with it after it is gone!

Mother's Day SAB card
I used a piece of the wonderful Sale-a-Bration DSP that is only available for a couple of more days as the backdrop of this card. For lack of a better name I am calling it a peek-a-boo card because the DSP peeks thru the top layer after being punched with the wonderful Blossoms punch. I embellished it with buttons and other floral punches. Needed to add the Rose Red for a little color "pop."

My Friend card
I found 2 of these old card styles in my stash and quickly made a beautiful card using again Bordering on Romance. I tried my hand at water coloring again but this time I took the advice of an expert and added a little color around the main image to help make the flowers pop. The sentiment on this one is from the set called My Friend.
I also stamped the envelope to match.

Simply Sent Box
I found a quick and easy tutorial here to make a Simply Sent card into a cute little box. I filled mine with 3 Ghirardelli candies and a Starbucks gift card for our recent Women's Retreat. It took me only about 10 minutes to make it and I even used it for my monthly card club for a fast 3-D project.

Happy St Patty's Day!
Finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! |
My stampers club made these cute little bags the other day when they were over. I added something to mine that they did not have for theirs. I have challenged them to find it and leave me a comment! I wonder who is looking today? Any way, I was in Wally World and found the multi-colored Twizzlers and had to go for it!

Bordering on Romance
This stamp set is definitely growing on me. It was not my favorite but I got it at an extra discount so I figured, why not? I have made just a couple of cards with it so I decided to see what others have done with it and this one was so pretty I just had to make one for myself. Water coloring is not my forte but I am still working at it. Happiness is from Loving Thoughts.

"Glitter"fly
I made a quick little card for a blog hop. Now I have never done a blog hop but this one intrigued me and was hosted by Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch. Now here is the sketch.
Now this is the card that I made. I used one of the Baja Breeze simply sent cards for the base. I then embossed the Daffodil Delight with the new heart adorning accents embossing folder. I added the yummy pleated Baja Breeze ribbon and cut the butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die cut. I stamped on the top butterfly with the Fresh Vintage stamp and added the glitter. Very simple and pretty.

Inspiration from the Mini
The mini cover was the inspiration for this card and I wanted to use one the stick pins or hat pins so this is what I came up with. It is very similar the the one on the front but does have a few changes. This was actually the 1st card I made using the framelits and after I went to Leadership and learned a trick or 2 I came home and made a whole bunch more. The colors on this are Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.

A Pretty Hello
I followed a sketch to make this card but the rest is all mine! Yea! I have spent the whole day "CASE"ing and now I finally made something on my own. Ok, so this is what I am calling a pretty hello card. I started with the focal point. I had actually made it for something else but I messed it up. Rather than throwing it out, I followed the advice I give to the kids..."If you mess it up, dress it up." So I just put it together following the sketch and it came out nice and clean.
Supplies used: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry card stock
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Markers: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/8" ribbon

Mixed Bunch
This is a soft card appropriate for all occasions. I started with the Wisteria Wonder card and then embossed the Whisper White part of the way down. I stamped the card stock embossing paper using Whisper White craft ink and the clear embossing powder. I punched the flowers with the matching punch and added the pretty matching bakers twine.

Fresh Vintage - SAB set
All I can say is, I wish I had more of the yummy Everyday Enchantment DSP that you can only get for FREE with your qualifying SAB order or $50 or more. Oh, I am just going to have to place another order. This paper is so pretty and I love both sides! This is a Very Vanilla card with the Poppy Parade and DSP accents. The stamped image again comes from the SAB set Fresh Vintage.

Loving Thoughts
This card represents another blog hop find this time by Mary Fish. I don't know for sure but I think her stamping number is in the single digits with Stampin' Up! Wow! She always does great work but I especially liked this one because it is so clean and simple. Anyone could case it and it came together so quickly. I changed the butterflies a little but I did my envelope treatment just like hers. Another great way to use up DSP.

Ribbons, Stamps and Paper, Oh My!
I found this idea while blog hopping the other day and quickly made it up for myself. I do not have the little Petite Pockets die so I had to take apart one of the open ended envelopes to make these. I am thinking that now that I have done this and how quickly it came together that I now will be able to use up a lot of that extra DSP that I have laying around! I used the SAB set called Fresh Vintage for the stamped images and I tea stained the Very Vanilla card stock after stamping. Don't you love the way the teeny ribbon looks on these cards? Don't forget, we have the rest of the month for Sale-a-Bration and you too can get the FREE ribbon, DSP and the stamp set with your qualifying order or party. Click here to order 24/7. Note, the little stamped circles are envelope seals made with card stock and dotto. Keep them ready to use on wax paper and pull and apply as needed. I am planning to cut vanilla card stock to add the address to these to keep the coordinated look.

One Sketch, 5 Cards
I stumbled upon a great sketch today that works well with the "Packed for..." stamps in the current mini brochure. I got these free by booking parties and I have been a bit stumped when it came to using them. Then I saw a sketch and used the same one for all 5 cards. Take a look!
