A Few Gift Tags...After the Fact
Hey, it is still the season, right? Well, that is how I see it so I will be sharing of few of my handmade tags for the next couple of posts. Tags are fun and quick to make. Why not use up some of those 'leftover' scraps now and be ready for next year. Of course, tags are great for any gift giving occasion...not just for Christmas.

Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #54!!
This is a fun and simple sketch! I have been putting it off all month...trying to not stress about the holidays etc...So, now it is the 27th of December and we are stuck at home in another ice storm! We traveled home through lots of storms, lightning, hail, tornadoes to get home before the icing began and we did it! We even got our laundry done before the lights went out. So, now I have time to stamp and play. This is my first card for this challenge.

Triple Fold Card
I have seen several of these floating around the net using the cut images from the Home for Christmas DSP so I had to try one. It was so simple. I followed a tutorial from Patty Bennett and pretty much cased her cards making a minor change here or there.

Merry Christmas!
Well, I almost did it. I am finishing this last post for the official Christmas season on December 1st at 3:30 in the morning. It would seem that the cortisone shot in my knee has left me sleepless, restless and a migraine. Oh well, my knee is not hurting and I am able to get a lot accomplished. Always a plus at this time of year!
Today I am showing another One Sheet Wonder Class. Why is it called a one sheet wonder? The basis of the stack is one sheet of 12 x 12 designer paper. I love this set and may make more for my mailouts. Why not, I have plenty of time since I am really posting so early! Less stress is my motto. And if you notice, I have started posting mostly every other day and that leaves room for me to play with challenges if I have time or the inclination to do so.
This project made 7 cards and 1 little box or you could make 9 cards with a couple of little alterations.

Gift Sack/Box
This is another of Angie's video's. If it looks familiar well I did one of these for Halloween also. They are quick and simple and don't take so much supplies that it would be costly to make for a whole bunch of people!

One Sheet Wonder Project
I subscribe to Angie Juda's blog and she is frequently posting great sets and ideas. Today I am showing the 1st of 2 One Sheet Wonder Projects for this season of Christmas. This one makes 8 cards and a little gift box.
If you go to her blog/video site you will see that I changed mine up a bit. That is perfectly fine. Do what makes you happy!

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project #1
I just love My Paper Pumpkin kits. They are a little bit of surprise in the mail every month. They include stamps, ink, embellishments, tape and envelopes or whatever you need to complete the project/projects. Most month there are lots of leftover goodies to play with as well. This month I made the first card as shown and this card with pieces of leftovers from my desk.

Joyful Season
I think I bought this stamp set to make my Christmas cards this year but I have not set down as of the 30th of November yet to do them! Oh my! I need to get them done soon! I still haven't decided on a card idea!
I love the Cardinal in this set but I used the branches for this pretty little card. I miss the Holly Berry bush here in OKC.

Six Sayings - Hostess Set
One of the things I really liked about this Hostess Set was the 2 Christmas stamps. I, for one, don't think you can ever have too many word stamp sets! I made this card quickly and easily using the single stamp and fussy cutting Santa from the Home for Christmas DSP. I added some retired ribbon and called it done!

Layered Snow Scene
I can hardly believe that it is only 12 days until Christmas and since we are travelling again this month I am working hard to get my blog up to date. I usually get it all done by the end of November and so I am working hard to finish it today (being the 30th).
For my card today I used the pretty pine tree from the Festival of Trees set. I wanted to a layered snowy scene so I took my piece of 4" x 5-1/4" card stock and tore it into 4 pieces. I added the 2-way glue pen to the edges and dipped it into the Dazzling Diamonds. I then stamped one tree on the card and 2 more to punch out and layer as shown. Easy Peasy!

An Oldie but Goodie!
I pulled out this stamp set the other day when I was working on cards for my Stamp-a-Stack. This one was a reject but it is still pretty. Shelli once said she would never see this one retire. Well, it has been in every catalog since I have been a demonstrator...2003. Wow! Still makes a great card. This one was made using Pool Party, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

the paper players PP273
I am playing with the players today. I had an unexpected day off from work due to power outages at schools and all the trees making the bus routes unsafe so I got to stamp a little. I also had to go to the doctor for a steroid shot in my 'old knee.' Ouch!
For this card I played the top left to bottom right diagonal challenge. It was fun and super simple!

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack #1
This card was the last one I planned. I had been waiting for 3 weeks or more for my
Woodland Textures embossing folder. I thought it would have been here in time but as usually happens...it came after the stamp-a-stack. Oh well, now I can hurry and use it for other things before it retires. The 3 trees were stamped using...Old Olive, Garden Green and Mellow Moss.

One More CPC #53 Card
I came upstairs to see if I could get on the net and of course, the power went out again! I did make this card in the dark using a flashlight. I had seen that we only had 9 cards done for this month and I so wanted someone (maybe me) to win a free month of tutorials. Hey, this contest is open to any and all so even you can play! I pulled this one out and the lights came back on. Yea!
A Friendsgiving Thanksgiving Gift
Since coming to OKC we have been alone a for more days than not. No family near by. However, we are making good friends and they are not leaving out to dry for the holidays even though we are not related. I made this cute little box of Fall cards for the family who asked us to share their family thanksgiving both last year and this year. They do it on Friday so their married child can do Thanksgiving with his family on the actual holiday.

Merry Christmas card for CPC #53
One more card for the Craft Project Central Card challenge this month. I have been without internet for 72 hours or so with this ice storm here in OKC. I just found it working again and had to quickly post this for the challenge. Here is the sketch.
A great and simple sketch for quick cards. This one came to me while I was making a bunch of tags for gifts.

the paper players, #272
It is Thanksgiving Day and I am getting to play with stamps and ink! How great is that? We are not travelling for the holiday and are cooking a simple vegan dinner tonight featuring portobello mushrooms so we are not working in the kitchen all day. That gives me time to reflect and play!
I am getting a late start but playing along anyway with this challenge. I love the simplicity of it.

CCMC383 - Sketch
As you can see it is a very clean and simple sketch...my favorite. So I am stamping and playing all day on Thanksgiving and I saw the new challenge and jumped right in there. The Santa Stache is retired but not forgotten (at least not by me). I pulled him out and added the Joy greeting using the Red Glimmer Paper and the Wondrous Wreath framelits. Quick and Cute!

CCMC382 - Color Challenge
Call me stumped, great colors just not what I was thinking of for this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I used my DSP that has these basic colors in it (at least in that family) and made ornaments. I don't have any thanksgiving stamps and have not bought any of the new leaf stamp sets this year.
