It may sound crazy but I think I have just done my Father's Day card for this year. Sadly, we have no dad's left. I only have my husband and one son who is a father and one son-in-law who will be a dad on or about September 25th. This card will be perfect for my future sailing husband. We plan to take sailing classes next year to get certified. One more step towards our retirement dream.
My place to stamp, create and share! I am proud to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and the team leader for the Judi's Cuties!

Adventure Awaits
I have to say that I love this set, Adventure Awaits. That is the premise for my life. Yes, I work full-time, I am a Christian wife, a mother and a Lolli (grandmother), Bible class teacher and the wife of a full-time minister. I stay busy most all the time. But, in my 'free' time I love to have adventures of all sorts. We love to walk in the woods, play disc golf, ride bikes. kayak and scuba dive to name a few. We love to travel to far off exotic places! I had to match this set with the new paper stack Adventure Bound and the cards just came together. I cased this one from Connie Babbert.

Saturday Stamping Time!
I have a fun project to share with you today. I cut some of the beautiful Painted Blooms DSP to make 6 very pretty cards and then I made a Card Folio. I have not made one of these in a few years! It was so quick and easy and so simple. I am going to make another and send these out for Mother's Day. You know that mom's always need some pretty cards and it is just not always convenient to run out to the store for a card. All the cards were made using just 1 sheet of the DSP and the folio was made using about a 1/4 of a 2nd sheet of the DSP.

Pretty Paper Beads
PRETTY PAPER BEADS
Did you ever roll paper beads with toothpicks when you were a kid? I just rediscovered this fun, little craft—and making them is kind of addictive.
Just wrap a long, triangular piece of paper around a wooden skewer until you have a bead. Adhere the tail-end of the paper to the bead using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then cover the bead using a thin coat of Mod Podge. Let your bead dry.
After making a few dozen of these little cuties I started to think of Easter eggs . . . and one of our new occasions catalog stamp sets—For Peep’s Sake, item # 138557—came to mind.
I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch (item # 137416) on the top and bottom of this Easter favor to create fancy edges.
To make the beads, I used Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (item # 137784),Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (item # 138633), and the Rich Razzleberry designs from the Brights Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks(item # 130134).

Beginning at the top of a sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, score every inch on one side; on the opposite side, begin 1/2" from the top and score every inch. Draw diagonal lines between the staggered score lines to create triangles.
The beads don’t have to be rolled up perfectly; their irregular look is part of their charm!
When my friend, Bonnie, saw my paper beads drying, she said that they reminded her of an insect collection. My immediate thought was: butterflies!
There are many ways to make paper beads from Designer Series Paper. Just do an Internet search for “paper bead templates” and you’ll find plenty! P.S. If you use elastic cord to thread your beads, put a dot of Crystal Effects (item # 101055) on the knot and allow it to dry. That will help it stay secure.

Darling D Candle
One of my good friends will be celebrating her birthday next month and while I was perusing my 'one stop' shopping early this morning I found this 18oz candle on clearance and it smells yummy! I knew exactly how to embellish it for her. I stamped the D using the retired set Lovely Letters and mounted it into a 1" circle frame I had on hand. I wrapped it with retired Newsprint, Old Olive and the very useful and fun burlap ribbon. Voila...a personalized gift for less than you could buy anywhere!

Mojo Monday 385 & Creating Pretty Cards
Today I am spending unscheduled time at home due to a little ice storm last night. It rains so little here that I am still not ever sure what it sounds like so I had to jump out of bed and take a look last night. Yep, it was raining ice! Not too much though because with all the sunshine today the roads are clearing even with the below freezing temps. So, school was called off and it is a state holiday so I am at home. I am playing with the Mojo Monday challenge of the week. This one also fits the CPC monthly card challenge!

MoJo Monday Blog Sketch vs CCMC 342 Color Challenge
I have been overwhelmed with life lately and have not made time to 'play' up in my stamping studio so today while my husband is away I am going to play. This is the first card I have made in a while and I am using the colors of one challenge with the sketch of another. I am using the new set Moon Lake and some of the beautiful DSP stack called Adventure Bound. Since it has been warmer than usual here in OKC I have been seeing a few more finches. This little bird looks like a finch to me so I am making him Hello Honey colored. I just noticed that this card also matches the Paper Players challenge for the week, nesting. That makes this card a 3 for 1 winner!
Now for my card:
