3x3 Card Set

I got this little tutorial for FREE for playing along with the Creating Pretty Cards challenge they do every month on Craft Project Central. I just had to sit down and make one. It is so cute. I did not have the same stamps or DSP so I did my own thing! By the time you are seeing this, Sale-a-Bration 2016 will have ended. I hope you got all you wanted! PP288 - A Sketch Challenge from LeAnne

Yea! Another sketch, my favorite to play with. Even better if I can combine it with a color challenge. But not this one, I used colors of my choice and followed the sketch.

I used pieces of DSP from Petite Petals and matched my colors to that DSP. I cannot believe that I had not used the Watercolor Wings stamp set yet. I guess I had been intimidated by all the layers. It was so easy! 

PPA293 – A Color Challenge from Michelle Gleeson

These colors are so soft and spring like that I just had to play along this week. I almost missed it! Better late than never. I kept my card simple and used these colors to make some pretty little Papillion butterflies. I have to confess that Mint Macaron is not my favorite color but it is growing on me!

CCMC399 - Sketch Challenge with Blended Bloom

Well, I finally have an afternoon to stamp and play. We have been so busy with classes and work! In fact, it is Easter and I am relaxing in my play room while my birthday husband is taking a nap. Yes, Easter fell on his birthday this year...only the 2nd time in his lifetime. We had a great worship this am and now it is time for a little relaxation. He got to eat his favorite vegan meal. I made this card using the above sketch.

Supplies used:  

Stamps: A Dozen Thoughts, Blended Bloom

Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Assorted DSP, Water color paper

Inks: Momento Black

Markers: Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Water color pen

Happy Easter!

I ordered these little polka dotted bags just to use for a quick Easter gift for my schools. I depend on the school secretaries to help me out so much. They are the eyes and ears of the schools and I have 7 schools to attend to and a total of 2550 students! I could not do it without them so I make some kind of a treat every other month or so. Today, it is carrots. I found the orange jellybeans at a grocery store and you could buy them by the color. The little tags don't really show but they simply say, Happy Easter using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Happy Little Basket

OK, so I found the tutorial for this little basket a few weeks ago and I must not have bookmarked it because I cannot find the link for it now. It was so quick and easy and only used one sheet of 12x12 DSP! Should you know it or whose it is please let me know so I can give proper credit. It was someone in Australia I am thinking. I used the Birthday Bouquets DSP and embellished my little basket with ribbons I had laying around.

Birthday Flowering Fields Cards

I can never have too many birthday cards. Everyone I know has a birthday! These are my go-to cards to make for so many challenges and if you should ever get too many they work great as donations for churches, hospitals, schools etc...

An Easter Jar of m&m's

Who does not appreciate m&m's? Well, if you do not like them then this project might not be for you. I love a good piece of chocolate, big or small. I had this little jar laying around and decided to make a little decor on it for Easter and I love the little chick int he Honeycomb Happiness SAB set.

Hello Sunshine

Believe it or not, I am blogging for this date on January 18th. I know, I am a bit ahead but I am already thinking and planning for spring and all the special occasions and sunny days. Oh but I love spring and summer.  You can have Fall and Winter. I will take sunshine every day over snow!

A Bunch of Carrots

I made a bunch of carrots to give out as gifts for the secretaries at my schools. I have 7 schools that I serve as the nurse. It keeps me rather busy but I could not do it without the help of all the great school secretaries. They are truly the eyes and ears of the schools.

Anniversary...for the 35th time!

Well, I remember when we were so very young and getting married. I really never considered divorce or separation but I also never really contemplated the idea of being together for 35 years. To me, that seemed like forever or really old age. Now that we are there, I can see a lot more time together. My husband is my greatest adventure and this card is for him!

Creating Pretty Cards – Sketch Challenge #57!

I am playing with the CPC card challenge today. I am in the mood for another masculine card so I went to the recently retired airplane from Sale-A-Bration set Sky is the Limit and started my card with the fun airplane. I added some of the great Global DSP and some stamps from Going Global and even The Open Sea. I think it turned out nicely and very masculine.

St. Patrick's Day

I am not Irish but I  know you gotta wear the green and probably eat some green today in order not to be pinched! I put this together quickly and the picture is not very clear through the glass but you get the gist. It is a delicious jar of green m&m's with a 4 leaf clover.

Hooray! You did It!

I have 3 friends are finishing degrees in nursing this semester. I have seen all the work and hours they are putting in and I know they will appreciate a good card and a nap! I made this for you.

PP286 - A Colo(u)r Challenge from Nance

I am  playing today with the new Paper Players color challenge. These are such fun colors! I don't have much time so I sat down to make a quick birthday card for a friend. This is a fun 4-1/4 x 4-1/4" card. Simple and Clean!

Elephants Don't Forget...

I read somewhere that forgetfulness can be a sign of great intelligence. Well, I don't know how they figured that out but if it is true...well, I must be a genius! So, we all forget from time to time but this little elephant is remembering your birthday today!

Just For You

Another sentiment to love is the Just for You from Sale-a-Bration this year. It makes a great focal point and just change the colors and flowers or embellishments and you have a simple and different card.

Hip-Hip Hooray!

Celebrations are such fun. I think we need to do more celebrating. For instance, I didn't gain weight today! Yea! We need to celebrate. Why save those fancy dishes for celebrations. Who knows when our life might end and then who will use those fancy things we have been saving. Celebrate the little things!

Hello Water Color Wash

I love the look of water coloring but it is not as easy as it seems. Sometimes I see these projects and I think sure little kids can do it so I can too. Not so well. Any way, I attempted a water color wash for this card after embossing the Hello on the front. Not great, but it will do.

A Spring Candle

I have had this candle sitting around for literally a couple of years and decided finally to do something with it. You know how some days you struggle to come up with any cards or projects...well, yesterday I literally came up with 12 in 2 hours. This was one of them.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Happy birthday to my favorite Doctor...Dr. Seuss. He wrote so many beloved children's books and so many have a meaning for the adult learner also. My hubby and I designed a fun t-shirt to wear to my schools this week for his birthday and it is too cute not to share!

Time is Marching On...

March is here and that means spring, Easter, my anniversary (35 years) and my hubby's birthday! We are truly blessed and have so much to give thanks for daily. I thank the Lord for all the little and big things in our life.
