I made another holiday card using this fun set and the same fun fold as the 'Meet the Creature' card I showed a week or so ago. It turned out so cute. It is making me start to think about Christmas!

A Simple and fun Gift

For all of the holidays I love to make little gifts for my co-workers in the front office of our school. I had these cute little emery boards and quickly (in less than 20 minutes) made little covers for them in some retired DSP. I added a quick little note that said "For a smooth year."

I have again picked up the gauntlet to play with the Paper Players. They have such fun and challenging challenges each week. This time I am casing the new mini catalog card and making it look like this layout. Such pretty colors and images. 

Daisy Lane

I had my monthly group of stampers over this past Thursday and we made a couple of fun cards. I have a lot of newbies and just recently back into stamping friends so I am focusing on keeping things simple and fun. I want them to feel successful and be proud of their creations. Who knows where it might go?

For this card we did a simple water color wash on the Shimmery White card stock using Shaded Spruce. It turned out really well and every one had lots of fun.

 

Boo To You card meets PP455

We just started school again in Texas and last week we had our "Meet the Teacher" night(s). I was speaking to a retired teacher and she told me that they used to call it 'Meet the Creature' night. It got me thinking about this challenge for a school card and I decided to play along with this Halloween set. I am dedicating it to all the teachers who are 'meeting the creatures' or all the students who are 'meeting the creature teachers.' Please no bashing, it is all in fun!

Well, I pulled out my embossing tool for this card. I have not embossed in a while. I like the simple layout and may use it again soon. It was easy and pretty.

Bird Ballard Laser Cut card

I finally got around to ordering these beautiful cards. They are laser cut and I have seen so many beautiful cards made with them. I decided to use the Free as a Bird stamp set and some of the accessories that go with it for this card.

One more Dandelion Wish

For this card I used some of the extra retired DSP I had laying around and used it for the background. I then layered it with Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White and made a pretty card. The words did not show very well but I used the ones in the stamp set that say..."I made a wish & you came true."

A Little 'Boo to You' preview

I pre-ordered a few new stamp sets and am getting to play with them. I know we cannot show the new mini catalog yet but we can show some stamped images. This little set is so cute! I also ordered some new Halloween DSP and put them together for this quick fun fold card.

Dandelion Wishes meets Grapefruit Grove

Here is another Dandelion card for you. How simple is this one? Just one color of ink and 2 colors of card stock. It makes a great card for a sick person.

Floral Essence

I don't know about where you are but here we are ramping up for the start of school. Our students return on the 15th of August. I know that in Georgia where I used to work, the students started on August 1st!

All that being said, my time is getting much more crunched. No more leisurely days to play and stamp so I will have to focus to keep blogging.

Today I am showing a pretty card from the Floral Essence suite. The papers are so pretty in the DSP and I love the new tag punch. This was a quick one again (as all of my cards seem to be).

Come Sail Away Memories and More

I needed a quick, masculine card and I knew to look no further than the Sailing Home Suite. I love the images in this set and they coordinate so well with High Tide and Lilypad Lake. For this quick card I used a piece of Night of Navy card stock and the fantastic die cut in the Memories and More set. Need I say more?

Dandelion Wishes

Well, I am ashamed to say that I bought this set last year and just now put it together to use it! Oops! Oh well, I was on a bit of a sabbatical last year and am just now getting back into stamping. Anyway, I loved this stamp set so I am using it now.

Leftovers Anyone?

I have been saving scraps since I started stamping. I was once called frugal by an individual at Stampin' Up where one of my donated cards was used as a sample for a video. Anyway, I always try to cut a few extras in case some one messes up or more people come. This is a card I made using leftovers from my July class.
