A Card Anyone Can Make
Ok, I found this image by searching google. I then printed it out on Whisper White and layered it up with Tango Tangerine and put it all on a Whisper White card. I added a scrap of Basic Black for a little depth. Ta Da! See, I told you anyone could make it.

A Visit from St. Nick
Another 5 minute or less card. If you have all the supplies at your finger tips then you can do it too! I used the Tags til Christmas set with Real Red and Whisper White card stock and the 2 tag punches.
I hope you had a visit from St. Nick last night and that all your holiday wishes came true for you this year!

Northern Hearts
I quickly made this card using one of the level 1 hostess sets called Northern Hearts. It is in the current mini catalog. It has some pretty snowflakes in it so I made a nice snowflake card. I used the Shimmery White card stock along with Night of Navy. The ink is Marina Mist and the ribbon is Bashful Blue.

Jolly Old Saint Nick
I absolutely love this stamp set. It just reminds me of days gone by with the older looking images. Here is a wonderfully simple card done with the Santa picture. The supplies used here are: Old Olive, Real Red, and Jolly Holiday DSP. The ink is Basic Black and it has been softly water colored. The ribbon is again the Real Red seam binding. It features a glittery brad over a stamped image for the "big" brad look. This came from the Create with Connie and Mary website...their Holiday Edition. I really enjoyed their membership and they will be doing it again in the spring.

Christmas Postcard
Well, we have had quite a week at our house. I am determined not to let the holidays stress me out. I don't think that is the intention of them and I feel that if I am too stressed out then I must have lost the true meaning of Christmas.
That being said, my oven went out on me on Monday evening while I was trying to prepare dinner. My hubby came home and took it apart and found the bad piece but it was too late to get it. He went to get one on Tuesday and they did not have one. He called another place and was assured of getting it by 2:30 Wednesday.
Ok, on Sunday I invited my family over for a little early Christmas festivities because we are leaving town on Saturday and so is our youngest child. I am supposed to bake cookies with my 5 year old granddaughter and then cook a warm supper because we have been having record low temps for the last 2 weeks including today (Wednesday)
I got home and my hubby was relaxing in his big comfy chair and the oven was fixed! A few minutes later the kids started arriving. We baked cookies and I fixed 2 favorite dinners (I had to use what I did not get to cook on Monday) and we all ate. Then we found out that the roads were iced and now we have 3 adults, 2 children and a dog all spending the night with us! Well, we had a great dinner, shared some presents, sat by the warm fire and everyone slept over.
Thank goodness for the rain and warm weather, now everything is back to normal after a 2 hour delay to schools and businesses. We in Atlanta are not equipped to handle snow or ICE!

Loads of Love
My friend, Theresa, has been in love with this truck stamp since she first saw it 5 years ago! So she has been wanting to use it for her card. She always does a photo card and this is her card for the year. Her whole family loved it. We used Poppy Parade and Garden Green card stocks and Stazon black for the ink. Thanks for letting me share it my friend!

Naughty or Nice?
My stampers and I also made these little candy stacks with the wonderful mini cellophane bags. They hold these perfectly as well as other small candies. I kept this one simple as we also made a Christmas card. The tag was stamped using the Tags til Christmas set. I am planning to drop these off with my co-workers so I have several more to make. But aren't they cute?

My Digital Studio Recipe Card
Here is another great idea for the My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! that is 1/2 off until November 30th. How about recipe cards? I found this great one the other day and I am planning a recipe book for my children that I can add to each year. Isn't this one great done by lucia. Just another wonderful way to take your scrapping and stamping to a new level.
BTW, I am now working 2 jobs in my nursing and I am also sooo busy for this week that I am borrowing some wonderful ideas from Stampin' Up! to share with you for the next few days until I can play "catch-up." Please enjoy and I will see you soon!

Decor Elements...Hem your Blessings
I saw this in the Decor Elements catty and knew I wanted to add it to my collection for the fall. I love the saying...."hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel." I have been an avid seamstress since I was a young thing. I know the value of a stitch in time, so why not the value of thankfulness? I used En Francois for the background and used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get it lined up just right.

Watercolored Thanksgiving
This card was done using my watercolor paper and the wonderful watercolor crayons. The stamp set is Autumn Harvest. The DSP is from the wonderfully thick Autumn Spice in the new mini catalog. I truly hope you will have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving and that you will be able to spend time with family and friends from near and far.

Don't Forget to Give Thanks
Well, we are on the down hill slope to Thanksgiving and the following Christmas holidays with all the busyness of the holidays! I hope that you will all take time out from your busy schedules to stop and give thanks to the ones who matter most to you. I thank my God for all the blessings and talents he has given me. I also want to say thanks to my family and friends for all they do for me in uncountable ways. You all are the best!

Thank You Card
I hope you are not tired of this same set but I have another great card from it. I sure hope this set makes the big catalog next year because it is so versatile. This card uses Soft Suede, Early Expresson, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizazz and Very Vanilla. I used the Build-A-Brad to make the matching brad in the center.

Gratitude Card
Again I have used the Day of Gratitude set. I have to admit it was not my top choice from the mini catalog but after seeing so many samples done with it I decided to get it. Well, now that I have used it, I love it! This card is done using Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke. The brad in the center is a retired element from earlier this year.

My Thanksgiving Wall Decor
I made this a couple of years ago but it is worth sharing again. It certainly puts a smile on my face each year when I pull it out to hang. It just shouts fall and Thanksgiving and all things beautiful. I made it using a decor element from Stampin' Up! It was quick and easy. I took a 12 x 12 piece of DSP and cut it to fit the shadow frame then quickly added the decor element. The fall pieces are dried, of course, so it is always fresh.

Gratitude Card
I have made a lovely card to share with you today. Again I used the Day of Gratitude set. The colors are very fallish, especially as you look around Atlanta right now. The card is Old Olive and I ran it through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing plate. The layers are Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard and Pear Pizazz with Whisper White as well. Don't you just love the new Decorative label punch? See you tomorrow for some more ways to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving...The Forgotten Holiday
What is the forgotten holiday? Well, by the looks of the stores and retailers and many homes I would have to say that it is Thanksgiving. It has been totally skipped! The retailers have skipped straight from Halloween to Christmas. I say NO! We must take back our Thanksgiving and look back and give thanks for all that we have been blessed with another year!
I am going to be doing Thanksgiving cards and projects from now until Thanksgiving day. Join me here daily for a new project that features the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Day of Gratitude
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Autumn Spice and Regal DSP packs
