SUO Challenge #78 – Ribbons and Bows!
Another day, another challenge. So this one is all about ribbons and bows, paper, fabric etc...Anything goes as long as it is SUO Stampin' Up! only. Yes, even retired products. I wanted to make one of these wrapping paper bows for a while and so since I could use the retired DSP I played along. I just happened to have the scraps right at my fingertips so making the card was a snap! Since today, the 30th is my birthday I made a present!

Regarding Dahlias
I made this card today to go with the newest CCMC challenge. It is a color challenge this week. They are using 3 very vibrant colors together...Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Chocolate Chip. I decided to keep it rather simple since these colors can speak up for themselves. I used the beautiful dahlia stamp and stamped with Tangerine onto the Curry. I used the Chocolate Chip for the greeting. I stamped and layered the dahlia 3 times as you can see.
Live the Life You've Imagined
Well, just when you think you have things figured out...someone goes and throws a monkey wrench in and you are starting all over again. Thank goodness we have a loving Father who takes us just as we are and helps us to be better every day. He can make all things work together for good as long a we are trying to do what is right and loving Him!

Wonderfall
I made this little card for the fall and it fit the CraftProjectCentral monthly challenge. They needed 10 to give away a FREE month subscription of tutorials so I added this one today. I used the pretty Venetian Romance DSP and mounted it on a Baked Brown Sugar card. The greeting is from Really Good Greetings and the leaves are from Wonderfall. I inked them in Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Baked Brown Sugar with a touch of Early Expresso.
Another Washi Card
I have made another Washi card and I got the idea and instructions from Rae Harper Burnet here. Thanks for sharing Rae!

Halloween Happiness
I posted this card for the CCMC265 this evening. I have been looking at the sketch for a few days but only had time to play today. The card itself is Early Expresso although it does not really show in this photo. Then I layered it with Whisper White to go with the pretty Polka Dot DSP. I had not played with this stamp yet (single stamp from mini) and decided to jump in there with a fall/Halloween card. I had fun with it! I just colored 2 of the 4 pumpkins to make it fit the sketch.
The Paper Players PP160
You know how these "slants" stress me! I just have such a hard time doing them. Plus, I don't have many Halloween sets so I had to make an 'all occasion' card. My only fall set is Wonderfall and it was used in the team stamps. So, here goes...
I used the Gingham Garden DSP, the 5-Way Flower stamp, and Sweet Essentials. The colors are Very Vanilla, Pear Pizazz, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo.

PPA 169 Challenge
It is a sketch for this week. I played with it and used some of the luscious Eastern Elegance DSP for my challenge card. I love the Crushed Curry with the Smoky Slate. I picked my colors based on the DSP and used the stamp set Fabulous Florets. It is simple and pretty. That is my kind of card. -- Woo Hoo! My card was chosen for a challenge winner!

Textured Stamping
OK, this one totally fooled me. I stamped the clear block into my Crisp Cantaloupe ink to make a background and when it dried I felt it and it was as bumpy/textured as it looks in the pic. It really made a cool background. I also used the pretty hostess set called Simply Sketched with Baked Brown Sugar. It really makes a nice sympathy card.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 276 (TSSC276)
This is my card for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch at Techno Stamper's blog. I always find it hard to make the 'slant' on a card. I don't know why but they always throw me for a loop. I started with Very Vanilla and layered with the textured Crushed Curry. I added a piece of the Afternoon Picnic DSP and decided what went better with picnics than butterflies? A lot nicer than ants or bees! See the sketch below.

Week 133 Round and Round & SUO Challenge #77 – Happy Birthday!
For our theme this week our challenge is
For this you may use any image which implies this movement...ie things with wheels or which move in this manner etc or in fact cards with some moving parts.
I don't have any moving vehicle stamps at all. So, I did the next best thing and
made a little punch art card. Hopefully you can recognize him.
This card also fits the SUO Challenge 77, Happy Birthday!

Emily MontoyaHave you ever heard of the kissing technique?
We're not talking about the technique with your sweetie-we're talking about the one with stamps! Check out this sample featured in this video, see how the butterflies have an extra texture? It's the beautiful product of two stamps getting together!

The Paper Players Challenge #159 - Try # 2
CCMC264 - Color Challenge
Pretty and soft colors, huh? Again these colors seem to be making a splash all over the net these days. Well, I was not impressed with these colors but they are so pretty together after all. I made a CAS card using Blooming with Kindness and some of the fun Chevron ribbon. I like the way it came out.

Creating Pretty Cards – Sketch Challenge #26!
Well, we set a new all-time record for low temps in August today. We got up to 61* on August 17th. In fact we are heading for a record held since 1872. So what is a girl to do? Stamp out her blues. Yes, I am a person that is 'solar charged' and we just have not seen the sun hardly at all this summer, in fact, it has been like this since November or 2012. Probably the most cloudy days ever for here. Look out Seattle, Atlanta is trying to tie your cloudy days!
So, to break my mood I am stamping and playing with challenges. Today I am playing with the Creating Pretty Cards challenge. The sketch is above and I played with it like this.
I started with Melon Mambo and layered it with Soft Sky (dreaming). Next I used the Six-Sided stamp set to make the hexagons. I also used Mixed Bunch and Flower Shop for my flowers. I love that they have a punch to match so there is no fussy cutting required.

Challenge #37 -- Evergreen Trees
I just found this challenge tonight and I just have enough time to play! Here is a card that I made today using some DSP and the stamp set Evergreen. How fitting.
Not How I Imagined It...PPA168 - A Sketch Challenge
As I said in my title, it is not exactly how I imagined it but...not all cards turn out just as we thought they would. I mean, we cannot hit it out of the ballpark every time, can we? So, I wanted to play with mosaics and I used the Beautifully Baroque as my focal point. I then stamped a mosaic background and used some pretty Quarterfancy DSP and this is what I got. As I tell my kids in art projects... there are no re-do's. If you messed it up, you have to dress it up. So there, that is what I did!

Fun Birthday Card
I saw a card like this on a blog and knew I could make one using my SU! supplies so I did. I used some of the DSP from the I Am Me pack. I stamped using Tango Tangerine and Daffodil Delight an the Lacy and Lovely set. The sentiment is from the always useful Teeny Tiny Wishes. Voila...a 10 minute card!

By the Tide Stationary Box and Card
I found a great tutorial on this site for this box and the card. I really love this stamp set and knew I would be casing this soon. Well, I finally got around to it! Didn't it come out well? Thanks Amy for another great tutorial. She has done these for years and they are FREE! Check her out. Now, here is my case of her project.

CCMC263 - Sketch Challenge
Well, school has started, we have finished our first 3 days, starting on a Wednesday. I am getting back into the swing of things, getting up at 5AM and riding the bus with my student for 2 1/2 hours a day. By the time I get home I am exhausted. None of the kids in our class are verbal but they are still very loud!
I am playing with the sketch and using some of the yummy new DSP, this one is the Modern Medly. How can you go wrong with black and vanilla? I paired it with 2 of the new In Colors...Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana. Simple Simon!

PPA167-A Refreshing Color Combination
I love either the Crisp Cantaloupe with Coastal Cabana or Pistachio Pudding but I would probably never put these 3 together on a card if not for this challenge. So, I used the supplies I had sitting on my desk from my most recent Stamper's Club meeting and stamped the same card we made but changed the colors to match this challenge. The stripes were made using masking tape.
