Happy Halloween!

It is Halloween and to me that is the quenticential start of fall! From now until Thanksgiving is the time of fall that I like. After that I could totally skip winter and move right on into spring.

Here is one more Halloween thing I have not shared with you yet. Hopefully, you have done all your candy shopping and some of it is still around to give out to all the kiddo's. Have a blessed day!

This card is using the Split Image Technique. To accomplish this, you stamp the same image on black cardstock and again on white cardstock using opposite color ink on each. Then you cut your images in half and you have enough to do 2 cards. The main image on this card is from House of Haunts. The background comes from the Night and Day DSP in the mini catalog and the saying is from the Spooky Treats rub ons.

Worth Repeating

Well, as you know I am into recycling whenever possible. So, I guess that goes for blog posts too! I did a challenge last year called Trash to Treasure and I have updated it a little this year. Yes, I still used a piece of trash (shampoo bottle) and turned it into a treasure. This is the Cast-a-Spell designer paper. I thought it did not need any help so I just layered it onto some pumpkin pie card stock and ta da! Fill it with mini candies and Yum! Who wouldn't want this treat for Halloween?

Boo Boxes

Look at these darling boxes I made for my mantle for Halloween. Yes, I know I seem to be stuck on Halloween right now. So, sue me. I am having fun! I found this box tutorial on a website here and followed it to make my rendition of the boxes that Jared made at the 2007 convention.

I used 12 x 12 cardstock, designer papers, chipboard letters, black ribbon and irridescent ice embossing powder. The stamps I used were from the Batty for You stamp set. These are big enough to hide the candy in until Halloween (just don't forget where you put it)!

Halloween Treat Box

It is almost Halloween and I am having such fun making these little treat boxes and projects. I don't usually get into the spirit like this but I am back in elementary school and the little ones seem to inspire me! It is either that or the fact that I am refusing to grow up.

Pencil Trick or Treats

Well, I am back in school and that means pens, pencils, crayons, markers, etc... You have to love the smell of the start of school new clothes, book bags and supplies. One of my favorite scents from school is Play-doh...mmmm! Any way, I digress.

What I have here is a cute little pencil box that I madeto hold 4 Halloween pencils. I got the idea from

Melissa Stout's blog and she has a tutorial posted for it. I have added the link to her site in case you want to check it out or make one yourself. It is a lot easier

than it looks (and it looks easy). I used the old

stand by stamp set, Batty for You for the Frankie.

We may make this for our October club meeting!

Halloween Goes Green and Gets Sweeter!

Hi Stampers and Friends! It seems that everyone is going green these days and I have had to jump on the bandwagon as well. It is up to us to keep the earth God has given us green and safe for our children. I found this little bottle at a hotel filled with shampoo and such. I thought these bottles would make a great little something...so, I washed them, decorated them using the Cast-a-Spell designer paper and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then filled them with mini candies. Yummy! There were a few left over and I couldn't let them go to waste. So, next time you go to the hotel, save those little bottles and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Twick or Tweat Haunted House

I got this house at a craft store recently for only $1. I thought it would make a cute little house decoration for Halloween and I finally decided to play with it last night. I used the Cast-a-Spell Designer paper from Stampin' Up! I then proceeded to measure, cut and measure and cut some more. I used the great Tombow multi purpose glue to hold it all together (that glue is very sticky)! I stamped the images from the Twick or Tweat set that is in the new mini catalog on vellum cardstock and put them in the door and windows. The flying bats were made using the round tab punch. I think it is going to be a great new fall addition around the house. I hope you like and will keep dropping by for more ideas and inspiration. Sweet Centers Halloween card

Well, if you don't know it by now, the newest Mini Catalog is here and it is full of wonderful things! I wish I could afford to get everything in it! Here is the first sample I want to show you from the mini. It is from a stamp set called Sweet Centers. I used some of my favorite Halloween colors - Orchid Opulence, Green Galore, Basic Black and Only Orange. I stamped the Ghouls and Goblins stamp, punched a whole in the center with the largest circle punch and added the new little candy cups filled with m&m's to make it a truly sweet center.
