25 Days of Christmas - Day 16

This stamp set has been around for 3 years and I still love it! I think it makes great cards and gifts. 2 years ago I even made a framed project using the Let It Snow stamp. This time I am featuring a card using it. The stamp set is called Big On Christmas. I love the different textures and shapes on the card. Some of the items and colors are now retired but it would be so easy to change them to current colors! Enjoy!

Instructions

1. Pierce row of holes in Chocolate Chip textured card stock (4-1/4" x 1/2") using paper-piercing tool from Crafters’ Tool Kit. Adhere card stock to Old Olive textured card.

2. Punch right edge of Baja Breeze textured card stock (8-3/4" x 3-7/8") using Scallop Edge punch. Fold Baja Breeze card stock around card with scallop border hanging over right edge of card and adhere.

3. Stamp “Happy holidays” in Jet Black StazOn ink on Whisper White textured card stock (5" x 5"). Watercolor “Happy” in Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Riding Hood Red ink using Aqua Painter. Cut out image in a circle using Coluzzle Cutting System.

4. Punch 13 circles from Whisper White textured card stock using 1/4" Circle punch. Adhere seven circles to large stamped circle. Apply Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter to the remaining six circles and adhere to large circle. Adhere large circle to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5. Cut a scrap piece of chipboard into a tree trunk, cover with Chocolate Chip textured card stock. Cut off one side of a large chipboard star and cover with Old Olive textured card stock; adhere to tree trunk. Adhere So Saffron textured card stock to small chipboard star, and adhere to top of tree. Tie crochet thread through Riding Hood Red button and adhere to tree. Adhere tree to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

6. Tie Riding Hood Red 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon around front of card.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 12

Well, there are only 19 days to Christmas as I write this post. I have all the decorations out and the trees are lit. I am felling the love, just got to wrap all my gifts! Oh yeah, I still have to send out all my cards! Here is another little card idea for you. You can never go wrong with the classics like Real Red and Garden Green. This features the stamp set Snow Swirled. Enjoy!

25 Days of Christmas-Day 11

This is a simple card made using the wonderful level one hostess set called Holiday Best. The card is Garden Green and the designer paper was used layered over the scalloped edge whisper white. It all pulled together with the ribbon and the Real Red stamped image using the punch and brad to add a little bling to the finished product.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 9

Today I am sharing another simple Christmas card idea with you. It is not too late to make and send out those cards, it is only the 3rd of December. Why, you are still ahead in the game.

I made this card using Very Vanilla, Garden Green and Real Red card stock and inks. The stamps are from Tree Trimmings and All Holidays. The designer paper is called Merry Moments. Don't have it? You can easily substitute it for whatever you do have. I used the Eyelet Border punch at the top and the bottom. This card took less than 10 minutes to make and it will be much faster assembly style. So let's get stamping!

Serene Snowflakes

Is it snowing for you yet? Well, here in Hotlanta (Atlanta, GA) we hardly ever get snow. That is probably why the southern demonstrators just love the snowflakes and snowmen cards. We can make our own snowman even if the temperature is 78!

This little beauty was made using the Serene Snowflakes stamp set from the mini catalog. The snowflakes and the card base are done using the In Color Soft Suede.

I Believe in Santa - Do You?

At my house as long as I believe in Santa, he still comes to see me. I have always been a believer and will always believe in the spirit of Santa Claus and all that comes with this wonderful season. In that spirit I share this card with you today. It is from the mini and it is a set called Just Because. I love the watercolored look on this card, especially the "hit and miss: look. So cute and clever.

Tree Trimming Card

This cute little stamp set just puts me in the mood for Christmas. This set is called Tree Trimming and is in the Big catalog on page 28. It is a set of 4 stamps for only 14.95. A Beautiful Christmas card

I cannot believe that Christmas is less than 2 months away! I am really trying to do a "handmade" Christmas this year. The card I am sharing today is a long card that fits in the open-ended envelopes. The card is Sage Shadow, Basic Black, with a silver background, then the stamped image is done on Whisper White. The card is stamped using the wonderful Stampin' Up! markers...chocolate chip and sage shadow. Of course, the tree is from one of our all time favorite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree.

Berry Christmas

This little set is called Berry Christmas and can be found in the holiday mini catalog. This is the stamp set I got from the regional in Chattanooga on Saturday. I love the little bird in this set! I know I am going to have fun playing with this one. The card is Old Olive with an Old Olive DSP at the bottom. The bird and the word(s) is done with Real Red. The limb with leaves is done with the Old Olive. Note the little library clip in the top (a special from last week that is still available until 9 am). Wouldn't this make a great Christmas card?

Christmas Card stamp-a-stack

As promised, I am advertising my upcoming stamp-a-stack cards here for you to see and decide on a design or 2. The card I am showing today will be the first of the 3 that I am showcasing. This card is simple and I will have all the supplies ready for you once you RSVP. So all you will need to bring will be your own adhesive and you will get to make 10 cards for $20. The dates will be Saturday, November 14th from 3 - finished with a repeat date on Saturday, November 21st from 10-2. Trendy Trees Card

Here is a very lovely Christmas card using the cute little stamp set called Trendy Trees. It is not a traditional Christmas stamp set yet it makes a great card. I love the die cut for the background of the tree with the ribbon and the rhinestone brad. The colors used are Bashful Blue, Going Gray, and whisper white. Note the dazzling diamonds on the hills and the moon. It is just my style, simple and sweet! Enjoy!

Fancy Folds Card # 2

I finally finished my Fancy Folds class last week and it was fabulous! I have decided to post another of the 3 cards we did. The first one can be seen in an earlier blog post on the 2nd of this month. This is the Wiper Card that we made. This one is a Christmas card that uses the Designer paper called Holiday Lounge. This paper has a retro feel to it. I used stamps from the set of Big on Christmas and from the Hostess set Christmas Punch. This card when pulled has a pop-up image that is really neat. What do you think?

Sparkling Ornaments

I saw a really cute and simple card on Gretchen Barrons' blog and thought I could make one like it. Here is my version of her card. I will warn you, glitter is everywhere now! But with a name like Sparks and my clown name being Sparkles, as well as my demonstrator password to join my team...well, glitter is my friend. I love it and am always "sparkling."

For this card I used Real Red cardstock layered with a piece of the new Holiday Lounge Designer Series paper. I think used the large oval punch and the new designer label punch to make the "lights." I used the ultra fine glitters to sparkle the lights. I then put it all together as shown using stampin' dimensionals to give it a lift.

It's "Bearly" Christmas!

Isn't this card adorable? It uses all non-Christmas stamp sets. The bear is done with the set called Under the Stars and the gifts and hat are done using the Sock Monkey Accessories set. The whole picture was water colored and with the help of some designer paper and the Big Shot you have a wonderful totally non-Christmas stamp set card. How cute is that?

Another Christmas Card

Here is another Christmas card I made for my "Christmas in July" stamp-a-stack. This one has a Whisper White card, layered with Basic Black and some red/green designer paper. I added the old olive ribbon and punched the corners on the focal point. The image was from the Christmas Cardinal stamp set. I used the 2 way glue pen to add the red ultra fine glitter to make the berries. Easy Peasy! Now get out there and make those cards!

Another Christmas in July stamp-a-stack card

This is another card from our recent stamp-a-stack for Christmas. I know you are wishing you had been here by now. If you missed this one, fear not, I have another stamp-a-stack scheduled for August celebrating birthdays! Since my birthday is in August I wanted to make a bunch of cards to have on hand for the coming year.

But now back to our peek into Christmas. This card features the Winter Post set and some designer papers. I love the simplicity of this card and the vintage look of it. Enjoy!

Only 5 Months Until Christmas!

Did you know that today marks the half-way day until Christmas? Yes, only 6 months left! How are you doing on your handmade Christmas cards and ideas for Christmas gifts this year? Everyone is feeling the crunch this year. Why not make some beautiful cards to give or send and include the stamp you used as part of their gift! Give early and then send a card at the holiday to remind them of your gift. Why not include instructions and supplies for them to make a stack of cards or better yet, you could make them with your friend. It is always so much more fun with 2 or more stamping together! Here is another card to inspire you!

Even as I post this today, I am headed to Cozumel, Mexico for another week of scuba diving with my best buddy and hubby Mike. I'm Thinking Christmas!

Another card from our stamp-a-stack! This one I cased from last year's catalog with only a few changes. The stamp set is called 2 Cool Dudes. I used the craft white ink pad for the snow flakes and added a little glitter! You know how I love glitter. I also used the wonderful snowflakes from the hostess level 2 set called Christmas Punch which matches the Boho Blossom punch for easy coordination. Simple, fun and easy to do!

Christmas in July card

Here is another card I made for my annual "Christmas in July" stamp-a-stack. I cased most of these card ideas from other talented stampers. I may have tweaked them slightly to match my supplies. I had a blast with this class and plan to re-offer it again this Thursday 10-12 and 7 -9. We had sugar cookies, hot drinks, coolish indoor temps, and wonderful Christmas music from Pandora.com. Thanks for stopping by! This card was a rectangle that fits into the small open end envelopes.

"Christmas in July" stamp-a-stack

My annual "Christmas in July" stamp-a-stack is on Saturday, July 18th. I am so looking forward to this event because it is just so much fun to bake the cookies, listen to the holiday music and make Christmas cards with friends when it is about 90 degrees outside! We don't let the heat stop us from thinking about Christmas. I am planning to do this class on Saturday and again twice on Thursday 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for those who missed it on Saturday. This is just one of the 5 beautiful cards we will be making and we will make each of them 2 times so that you will have one to keep and one to send out!
